I had the special of the evening "Marlin". It was a beautiful presentation and the entire meal was delicious.

The atmosphere is great. I bet the raw bar is good, but the menu is average, and the food was nothing special. We used to look forward to going there for a nice date. The drink I had was awful and food left me flat.

I’ve been to Montauk twice this season since the new owner took over. It’s vastly improved over the previous ownership. The service is better the food is better the drinks are better.

Nice to enjoy some seafood while in the mountains. Good service which is what is expected when in Vail. The seafood was on par with a decent seafood restaurant on the east coast. Nice change from the other options in the village.

Montauk has been around for a long time, and that can sound boring, but for reliable great seafood cuisine in Vail, you can't do better. Noting is cheap in vail, but Montauk is a favorite because you get value. Cheers to Montauk for many years...More

Went with a large group. Very accommodating, food was excellent and we got a discount because it was off season. We had everything from fresh fish to duck to civiche ... everything was DELISH.

We had a lovely dinner at Montauk. Our waiter Dominic was very attentive and knowledgeable. Our entree's were salmon, halibut and filet. All three were very fresh and perfectly prepared. We were not interested in the crowded craziness that surrounds Sweet Basil and Mountain Standard...More
