The atmosphere is great. I bet the raw bar is good, but the menu is average, and the food was nothing special. We used to look forward to going there for a nice date. The drink I had was awful and food left me flat.
I’ve been to Montauk twice this season since the new owner took over. It’s vastly improved over the previous ownership. The service is better the food is better the drinks are better.

Nice to enjoy some seafood while in the mountains. Good service which is what is expected when in Vail. The seafood was on par with a decent seafood restaurant on the east coast. Nice change from the other options in the village.
Ver nice dinner with husband ,daughter, son in law and their two kids ! Service was good and fast , especially the kids food ! Wide wine selection !!
Montauk has been around for a long time, and that can sound boring, but for reliable great seafood cuisine in Vail, you can't do better. Noting is cheap in vail, but Montauk is a favorite because you get value. Cheers to Montauk for many years...More
Went with a large group. Very accommodating, food was excellent and we got a discount because it was off season. We had everything from fresh fish to duck to civiche ... everything was DELISH.
