This is one of the top restaurants in Vail we tried, if not the best. The menu combines classic french cuisine with some modern twists. Everything is made on site - pasta is fresh, ice cream is homemade etc. The service is sophisticated but friendly. The bar area was very fun before dinner. Make sure you order one of the... More

What a great choice with the Sole -- that's definitely a favorite around here! I'm so glad you loved every part of your meal here, and I hope you'll stop in and see us again next season! All my best, Jean-Michel, Owners More

On our evening stroll we stopped to check the menu. We were surprised to learn that the end of the ski season heralded some nice discounts on the dishes in the menu. We ordered French onion soup and spinach salad and dessert. Parisian quality dishes, the pear tart pastry crust was flaky and buttery. We will return when the season... More

I wrote a review past January and still consider it my favorite Restaurant in Vail. This time I had Rack of Lamb, excellent. Their wine list is excellent.

I liked it, but I didn't love it. To be fair, everyone else I was with raved about it, so mine is just one opinion. I tend to like simple food, simply prepared. I thought the whole thing was a bit pretentious for what seemed to me to be average food. The fish is better at Montauk, the French food... More

You should be wowed here, and I'm disappointed to see that we didn't quite get that for you. We're proud of our traditional French recipes and atmosphere here, but I'm sorry if it wasn't quite what you were looking for. I appreciate the feedback, and I'll be sure to keep it in mind moving forward! All my best, Jean-Michel, Owner More

Decor wise without question Vail's most beautiful restaurant -- New owners came along a few years ago -- they kept the bad attitude too often displayed by the former owners but none of their culinary talent -- expensive and mediocre

While it's great to see you love the atmosphere here, I'm disappointed to see that the food wasn't quite up to par. I appreciate hearing feedback like this, and I'd really love to hear some more details. Feel free to contact me so we can really nail it for you next time around. Best, Jean-Michel, Owner More

The write ups in the local dining issues listed this place as something really special - so we decided to give it a try. Our server was nice but not friendly at all - just waited on our table like we were really more of a bother and he would much rather be anyplace else but waiting tables! The french... More

You deserve to be wowed here, and I'm disappointed to see that you weren't. The food and service should have blown you away, and I'm honestly a little surprised we didn't -- you mentioned some of our most popular dishes. I'd love another shot to show you what we're really made of. All the best, Jean-Michel, Owner More

My wife and I had walked by The Left Bank many times but finally made a reservation for dinner. The ambience upon entering is very nice. Be sure to ask for a window seat. The wait staff was very good and very attentive. The menu is very thorough and the specials sounded great. We tried the foie gras and steak... More

After years coming to Vail... I decided to try this restaurant, but was really an average food. Beef filet was cooked too much and the presentation of the plate was exactly the same like my friend that has fish so weird. The creme Brule was so liquid that was impossible to eat..... no good

The left bank, for me, was an work in progress. Some of the food we had was excellent, some OK and some not good( the sauce on the veal scaloppine extremely salty and the meat somehow tough) . The service very friendly but unpolished for the type of restaurant they want to be. The room decor ( big improvement from... More
