White tablecloth, candlelight, fine wine, and gourmet French food by the creek. Travel clothes, no reservation, and unfashionably early for French dining. The Left Bank was very accommodating when we showed up on their doorstep. Don't be fooled by the menu prices, the portions are...More

A beautiful restaurant with great service. My only criticism would be the wine list. Although extensive, there should really have been a house wine, or something under $100! I enjoy a good wine, but most were way too heavy for my taste. (My husband and...More

Thanks for writing us, Angela -- I'm so glad our cooking impressed you. We're always looking for ways to better serve our guests, so I appreciate your suggestion about house wine. The team and I are looking forward to your return! - Jean-Michel, Owner

Stellar meal. All four of us ordered the pepper steak - all done differently - and all four pepper steaks arrived with exactly the subtle variations we requested. One of our crew had been here a few years back and he raved about the pepper...More

We walked in off the street and found, much to our surprise a truly world class restaurant. The bouillabaisse seafood dish was as good as one will find on any coast. The veal was equally exquisite. Highly recommend.

My husband and I hadn't eaten at The Left Bank for at least 10 years. We now know that we had made a mistake by skipping it during all those prior ski trips. This week, we had a fantastic fine dining experience at this most...More

We enjoyed our meal so much last year, that we decided to come again during our usual ski week in Vail. Honestly, it was the best meal we had in Vail - and we ate at some really nice places this week. Our server, Ashley...More

We had a reservation for 10 made through our condo concierge in Vail several weeks in advance. We called the day before to reduce the reservation to 7. Turns out a Private Party rented the restaurant for the night - no reservation, no notice. Imagine...More

I'm sorry we dropped the ball notifying you of the party. We'll always do our best to keep an open line between us and our guests, but that can be challenging with reservations made by a third party. Even still, we're happy to make it...More

The decor's been updated with great chairs and glass ceiling ornaments, to uneven effect - the chandeliers are too busy, the tables too close together, the neon strip in the wine room distracting/ill-conceived. The food is good, but not spectacular; our beleaguered waiter seemed perplexed...More

It's a shame our salmon wasn't the best you've ever had. Regardless of desired cook time, we usually have no problem preparing all our fish exactly as our guests prefer. We'll work harder to impress you more with our food and service next time. -...More

Had the french onion soup and the elk chops. The soup was more traditional than the usual american style of over use of cheese. Very nice it was. The elk chops were a little tough in places but overall it was nice.

No, you do not need to wear jacket and tie but you may see a few guests with them. In winter you actually see guests in ski wear and even shorts in summer. It is not like it used to be. :)
