Great food, awesome service, great owners. I have always loved this place. This restaurant has been around for a very long time, the building was built back in 1880 and started out as a saloon. I will definitely eat here as much as I can.

Stopped for lunch. The restaurant is housed in a charming historic building. A family run establishment offering tasty food and friendly service. Well worth a try.

My friends and I came in for lunch and were greeted and seated right away. The waiter was super friendly and our food came quickly. Prices were decent and the food was delicious. I loved the old building and the history of the place. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Yep, this is located in the first stone building ever built in Silverton at the time of the silver rush. You can tell its age by the low ceiling. At lunch, we find it busy and inexpensive. It's good for a quick lunch on the go. Bar choices very limited. **

We had lunch here which was pretty good. I had a salad which was fresh and adequate for lunch. It also came with soup. My husband had a burger that he enjoyed. The place is the first masonry building in Silverton and still has the original mason wall.

Food was disappointing and coffee was horrid. The environment needs a deep cleaning and everything, including the menu, needs an upgrade. very expensive for what it was.

A good choice among the limited dining options in Silverton. Menu has enough range to please most palates.

We were trudging the fascinating streets of historic. We looked at Trip Advisor for a good place for lunch. Sadly, there was a long waiting line. Then we noticed "The Pickle Barrel" which has been a mainstay there since 1971 (we found out talking to the owner). It is rustic and a very nice, old historic building. We had two... More

The Pickle Barrel was recommended by the locals as a place they frequent. They love tourists, but that is not their only target. Great food.

Description
The Pickle Barrel Restaurant is one of the longest continually running restaurants in Silverton, Since 1971! The building is also one of the oldest masonary builings on the western slope of Colorado. We encourage everyone to come check it our and the bar in the back, with its eklectic feel. It may be one of the oldest restaurants here in Silverton, but the menu changes often with summer dinner specials changing weekly with a nice gourmet feel. Make sure to see what we have in the winter.

Check next door for Ice Cream, expresso and now soaking in Silverton!
