Recently ate here with friends. Outdoor dining as per gov guidance. Have eaten here before pre covid and really enjoyed it. But oh my! This was some experience. The old smoking area was 10 deep with people drinking and standing within cms if each other....The outdoor area while large became smaller and smaller as they kept bringing out more tables and chairs! There appeared to be no time limit so there was a lot of raucous loud drunk people. You've to walk Into the bar to order a drink ( food is table service) and that was like a nightclub whenever we went in! Packed and heaving. We ate our mains and left. Definitely didn't feel comfortable with the crowds and lack of policing mask wearing for people going Indoors .More

Had a dinner booked for my daughters 21st and they were just brillant to deal with, their was 8 of us and the attention to detail for her was so good, the food was so good I ended up having 3 courses which I never...do! I had the roast beef which was so tender it just melted in your mouth it was that good. My daughter had the pasta, my dad the fish and chips and they were all happy with their choice, would definitely eat here again. The staff were really good also( even came out with a cake and sang her happy birthday) Would recommend to friends and family for sure.More

Myself and my wife went here for a bite to eat. When we entered the place the decor had a lovely warm feeling, staff very attentive and friendly. Good selection on the menu. We went for the couples deal which we found great value. Very...tasty and would highly recommend it if you are in Sallins. We definitely will be back again and againMore

Have eaten several times. It gets very busy which is a good sign. No hesitation in recommending the food.

I would like to start this review with a overview of others, firstly, if there was ever anything wrong with our meal, we speak to chef himself, who takes extreme pride in his menu, food and service, if you have an issue with the wonderful...warm, friendly, caring staff, please feel free to chat to them, as a regular in this wonderful spot on the canal, which I choose to mention as I have lived in Sallins for 22yrs, we got to this pub twice every week, my main point of entrance is the welcome myself and Ciaran get, each and every member of staff, I would name them all but don't have their permission, but, I will start with last Tuesday evening, we hadn't been in all the BH, we were missed, they made that clear on arrival, last night the exact same welcome, my meal of this review I had the Vol au vent.....😋😋☺ yumm, chef has nailed that creamy delight, Tuesday hubby didn't want mushrooms, he didn't get them, I was told on ordering last night by our wonderful male server, "You can have whatever you want", (the old saying, ask and you shall receive), I had a hankering all day for a Vol au Vent starter as a main meal, asked and I got, it was simply mouthwatering, Ciaran enjoyed his started (vol au vent) and his main roast beef too, I will close on this, alot has changed over the years, (good Friday) pubs are now open to us the public, that would have been a Publican's chance of a facelift and work, please be kind whe a pub needs cosmetic work, busy or quiet, they can't just close their doors to do essential up keep, as for The Bridgewater interior, the entire staff as the heart and warmth of the premises, may that never change guy's xMore

Girlfriend took me here as she lives in Sallins. Was really surprised at the great atmosphere and quality of food they had. We got the 2 person special (my gf got the carbonara and I got a massive steak) with a bottle of wine. Was...really good value. Played a bit of darts after and chatted with a few locals, which was cool. Would definitely recommend the Bridgewater to anyone whose in the areaMore

Love the bridgewater inn, been here multiple times and everytime has been perfect. The new menu is amazing (the hake is my favorite though the burger is a close second). They've also added a new bar bites menu which I take advantage of whenever my...boyfriend wants to play pool in their bar (mini battered sausages are where it's at!). Overall I couldn't recommend this place more, it's truly a gem in the heart of sallins.More
