Myself and my now wife got married in Bellingham Castle last week, April 1st!!. We booked The Clermont for our day 2, and my god it was just amazing. The whole team at The Clermont, in particular the new General Manager, Aaron were just incredible....The whole day was just absolutely phenomenal and they couldn’t do enough for us. They have been so accommodating and the food, drink and every single aspect of the day was just simply faultless. Everyone was gushing about The Clermont in the weekend de-brief and after looking at some venues in Dublin, which is where the majority of our guests were from, we are just so delighted we got to have such a memorable day.2 with the help of all the team at the Clermont. Thank you so much for helping to make our weekend so special, from the staff singing and dancing along to the band, the welcome drinks and the food - the day was just perfect. Highly, Highly recommend!! James & LiaMore

Myself and my husband stopped off her yesterday 02/03/2021 for lunch, when we arrived we were shown to our table and given menus - a drinks order was taken. We both then ordered our food. We received our drinks for the very friendly barman, however...the time started ticking by and i noticed people around us were receiving their food even though they ordered after us. Another 10 mins past and the waitress that had taken our order returned to our table to reconfirm our order and told us that our food would be with us in a few minutes. we waited patiently - the waitress then returned and said oh sorry neither of the items you order are available and asked if we wanted to order something else at this stage we had waited long enough to be told that our order was not available. The apology was very weak and not sincere at all and furthermore we were billed for our 2 drinks not even offered them on the house as an offer of apology. I expected so much more from this place based on reviews etc. Horrible experience and just displayed a complete laziness and unprofessionalism from the staff.More

For a once stylish restaurant i was a bit surprised how grubby and dirty all the soft furnishings had got on a recent trip to the Clermont. Whilst the food was tasty and the service quick, the price of ONE glass of very average white...house wine was quite frankly outrageous at €11.95 for 250 mls (supposedly a large glass). I could buy a bottle of wine for that or I could have a glass of Barton & Guestier Bordeaux Reserve Sauvignon Blanc in the 5 Star K Club Hotel for less at €9.75. The people who set the prices at the Clermont must not want guests to have a glass of wine with their lunch or dinner. I certainly could not afford to go there for a night out with friends with prices like that.More

Oh my God - worst experience ever. 1st time away from the kid in 2 years - this place was recommended by a relative so we picked it over Fitzpatricks - what a mistake. Waited 1.10 minutes for our main only to be served a...soggy greasy burger and an over done steak (€29) with chips which weren't part of the menu. Total disaster. Avoid avoid avoid. Mullen's in Dundalk is vastly superior. If there was an option to give it zero we would.More

Would have been more enjoyable going to the chipshop next door. Chicken tasted basically like a defrosted Kiev. It didn't even mention it was breaded on the menu. Booked for special valentines dinner months in advance. Embarrassingly was chauffeured past all of their lovely tables...to be seated in a glorified beer garden on picnic chairs. No candles lit.. 90s punk rock music. Noone even asked anyone if everything was OK during their meals or after so they must get alot of complaints. Not the atmosphere or standard I had expected especially on valentines.More

Family of 4 adults. Bad start, surly front of house first words were you must be finished in 90 minutes. Dining area was cold. Caesar salads came with cold chicken and fish respectively. Chowder was poor. Only saving grace was the pleasant waiter. Not cheap...but very poor value for money. Won't be going back.More

I arrived at the restaurant shortly before my booked time at half 5 and was escorted to my table with my partner and child,We sat for 15 minutes before a waiter took an order for a drink,we then waited a further 20 minutes without ever...receiving a drink or even a chance to order any part of the meal we went out for.I also emailed the restaurant directly shortly after I left but never got a reply(actually an automated one but nothing on it).it seems that its over priced. How the COMPULSORY gratuity fee is warranted is beyond me. Had I got recognition of my email.Stonehouse has a better menu and a more friendly atmosphere STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!More

We had a super night in the clermont, celebrating our friends birthday. The food was really good, and the service was excellent. I could not fault the place - they really looked after us and went above and beyond.

It’s ok food wise. I agree with the other reviewers about the atmosphere and decor but their main courses I feel let them down. I actually spoke to someone else who had the same food as me on a different occasion and they... More
