On a sunny March morning we decided to take a drive out of Denver and ended up in Palmer Lake. We saw good reviews for this place so we decided to check it out. Sunday morning 8:45 and we just beat the crowds. The bacon...scallion cheddar quiche was amazing and the ham and Swiss crepe was also exceptional. We started our breakfast with a cheese danish that had just come out of the oven, and that got us really excited for what was to come! The side salad with ranch and huge chunks of bleu cheese and walnuts was the best salad I’ve had in a while. Oh and the coffee is legit too! In our 9 years in Denver this bistro is the best food find yet! Really! This bistro fare was as good as anything we ate in Paris 2 years ago. Funky, laid back and wholesome vibe. We can’t wait to return! Keep up the good work, Speedtrap Bistro!More

My wife and I had booked a Valentine's Day dinner reservation, that we had been looking forwarded to for several days leading up to V-Day. The tables were about 6' apart and the staff did wore mask.; however several of the guest DID NOT! When...we spoke to the manager about our concerns, he apologized ,but made no changes. Our table was in the direct path of the bathroom, so we had to either inhale all the exhaled breath for " potential COVID customers " or leave. We chose the lateral. We were very disappointed to say the least. We live in the area, but will not go back...More

Great local spot with amazing food and wonderful service. Their crepes are out of this world good! Very small spot but has everything you could want in a small town eatery.

Laid-back, fantastic atmosphere. However, service was S.L.O.W. Took more than 15 minutes to just get a chai latte. Overall, it's charming as long as you have the time to sit leisurely. While they do offer gluten-free crepes, for those of us requiring gluten free and...dairy free, there were very, very limited options.More

Absolutely delicious! We stopped in to get coffee and tea to go after our morning walk, however it smelled so wonderful that we stayed for breakfast. We weren’t disappointed. They had fresh bread and we purchased the pumpkin spice challah loaf for our DIL. It...was a beautiful loaf and was perfect! We’ll be back again. I highly recommend this restaurant!More

What a charming, friendly spot! We went for the coffee, but kept coming back. Mostly enjoyed coffees to go, but also stopped by on a weekend night for drinks and to listen to a band on the socially-distanced patio. The food (especially breakfast) looked amazing,...but we're still not quite ready for COVID-era restaurant outings. Service is sometimes painfully slow, but oh-so-friendly that it barely detracts from the experience. Coffee was wonderful!!! It would definitely be our go-to hang out space if we lived in the area.More

Speedtrap is a laid-back bistro. We took some back roads and ended up there just in passing, and were glad we did. The coffee was good, great atmosphere, locals seem to hang out there, which is usually a good sign. We detoured on the way...home to go there again, and had another nice experience. Just sitting out on the patio puts you in a relaxed mode (even as the coffee amps you up a little). Their pastries are homemade and looked great, but being vegan we couldn't eat them. Their pastry chef was out; otherwise they usually have at least one vegan item.More

A nice place off the highway. It looks like just a little stop but the food is excellent. We all liked the dishes.

The food here is excellent! I ordered the french toast & my husband ordered the Eggs Benedict Crepe. Both were delicious. I also ordered coffee. The server brought cream, but no sugar & didn't offer it either. The table was maybe 18" wide, so with...4 of us, we had to stagger our dishes to fit on the table.More

If ever there was a perfect small town coffee shop and restaurant where the locals hang out, this is it. The coffee's are hot, the crepes delicious and the staff friendly and fast. Many gluten-free options are available. Check their website for hours.
