The title of the review is in homage to the old TV show--we felt like part of the community. Hats off to the proprietors for both their ciders (Dirty Woman and Classic Dry along with Black Currant topped our list, but we enjoyed each one...we tried) and the wood-fired pizza. The icing on the cake is the friendly atmosphere among the proprietors and clientele. We wish we could patronize Ice Cave Cider House regularly.More
The small batch craft made hard cider place, and their cider rocked. One of us tried their wine, and very tasty. However, it was their wood fired pizza that stole the show, and put a huge smile on our faces.
The owner/manager could first take responsibility for their mistakes versus blaming their lack of organization and timeliness on how busy the place is and his wife running the kitchen. If you mess up, have the integrity to admit it and your employees should have the...integrity to admit it. First the order was burned and that is why it took over an hour. Then the owner/ manager comes out to simply blame it not being made on how busy it was and how his wife is running the kitchen. Well, no one was there when we ordered and those after us got their orders. Yet, no effort was add to make it right because our ticket price was not high enough? A small business with lack of customer service!More
My wife and I enjoy the Ice Cave. As is typical in Monument, very friendly staff. We first attended and got to talk to the owners, great supporting local businesses. I look forward to trying their expanded patio and expanded food options. Oh yeah the...cider is good ranges from dry to sweet depending on the flavor.More
You'd probably drive right by since only the smaller side of this establishment fronts the road. It's 2 places in one with a small but wonderful kitchen in the middle. On one end it's a Wine Bar featuring 12 Colorado-made wines at a time. The...other end is the Cider House which also showcases 12 hard ciders at a time. 11 are house-made and 1 is a guest tap. A bit confusing with the two sides (one for wine, one for cider), but simple enough to walk through. We sat on the patio and enjoyed a couple of ciders on a nice sunny day. Great stop if you are up in Monument and want...to grab a drink!More
A great way to try a variety of their homemade ciders is to try their flight! Something different than the typical beer brewery and worth the visit. Follow the sign to find their entrance!
This new start-up provides an excellent alternative to the usual brewery experience. The ciders are all brewed onsite and provide a wonderful selection of different flavors.
Small and tucked away in Monument this place is awesome. A large and varied selection of ciders for all tastes. Different sized flights available. They serve pretzels, chips and salsa, sausage rolls while supplies last. Great music selection and super friendly owners. Not a trendy...hipster environment rather a quaint, friendly joint to hang out in.More
Well, we stopped by this past Sat., had a nice visit, the location is kinda precarious, turn at the Black Forest Café, its the next place, heading down the street, has a small eat-out area, with picnic tables, fenced area, sunny location to enjoy a...nice gal of hard cider., All of the cider, is made from British recipes., so the product is not sweet., but, has a kinds sour blend, we did a selection of 5 ciders, the owner was very informative, and helpful, all were good, but, personally I like a little bit sweeter, we enjoyed the tasting, they serve warm pretzels, with great mustard., swing by, and see what you think, personally, I think they should consider some offering of a sweeter blend, that they make, there at the shop! great stop, good cider! nice owner!More
