Each year, my company participates in the Monte Vista Cranefest, sending a large group of people to work the event. Nino's is our regular, go-to local restaurant for dinner one night. It's standard, New Mexican cuisine, with red and green chile, prepared the New Mexican way. The salsa is terrific with adequate, but not overwhelming spice. Service is friendly and... More

Good Mexican food at a reasonable price. The guacamole is good and you can get Margaritas by the pitcher. The steak tacos were full of chopped beef. The enchilada plate tasted good. And the sopapillas were large - a bit overboard in the cinnamon sugar though. Overall the food is good and hits the spot.

We stopped in with 4 adults and 9 month old twins, they didn't miss a beat, we had highchairs in a flash and the food was really good too !

This is a good place to stop if you are wanting some Mexican food. It is right on Main Street and is fast and friendly.

Nino's served the worst Mexican food I've eaten in ages. From the margarita to the salsa and guacamole, enchiladas, everything was dreadful. It was packed with locals! I can only presume it's all Monte Vista has to offer.

This place is not much to look at both inside and out but the food was good. You could literally walk by it without knowing it was a restaurant due to lack of signage on the windows. It is in a long block of downtown shops with most of them ready for new tenants. My husband and I shared a... More

We ate dinner here the last night of our stay. It's been sometime since our visit- but I remember the place was busy and that the food was better than average. The wait staff was friendly and it seemed to be popular with locals. Nothing stands out as having been out of this world- but I know we enjoyed our... More

This was about the only restaurant we could find in the area that was not a drive thru chain! Nothing great, but the service and food good. A cool mural painted on the brick wall inside, and met some locals that were originally from our home state. Friendly people!

If you enjoy the taste of things out of a can, you will love it here. I like fresh food, home made, authentic to taste...so it was not the place for me. The queso is what you get from Sam's club from a can. The salsa is made with Pizza sauce, the tamales are out of a can...the only saving... More
