Our group of four made a reservation using a Groupon on Saturday, June 1, 2017. We arrived promptly for our reservation and were pleasantly greeted by an outstanding hostess. She gave us a short history of the Briarhurst Manor and accommodated us with a group...More

My wife and had a five course dinner last Friday with a $69 Groupon. The place is fabulous and the food was very good! Great place for romantic dinner!

Briarhurst is a bit pricey, but worth the money for a quiet, romantic dinner for two. We had our 25th Anniversary party there many years ago, and they were spectacular. Food is great and the service is wonderful.

We've been to the Briarhurst before and it was slightly above average, with a kind of NPR-ish feel. But last night we had one of the best meals we've ever had. My husband got the elk loin and I had the scallops. Everything from the...More

My wife and I visited for Valentine's Day 2017. We had never been before, but it was rated highly on a list of Most Romantic spots on this very site, so we figured it was worth a shot. Though a bit on the expensive side,...More

We just finished a wonderful 5-course dinner celebrating our 42d Anniversary. The food and service were spot on. Yes, it was not cheap, but it was every bit as good as we remembered from when we ate there soon after it opened as a fine...More

The meals at the Briarhurst Manor are second to none. The chef takes extra care in preparation and presentation. The servers are extremely attentive to the guests. You will depart the Briarhurst having enjoyed an exception evening in a one of a kind setting.

We were celebrating my birthday at Briarhurst Manor. We share a shrimp cocktail. It was just one shrimp cut into small pieces with lots of sauce topped with some greens. Nice presentation, but I would prefer more than one shrimp for an appetizer. The salad...More

Finding the entrance was a bit tough and parking in the ice wasn't the best, but once we got in it was a beautiful interior and fantastic service. We ordered the escargot, filet, salads, and one of the best Creme Brûlées we've ever had. All...More

I made reservations though open table for Valentine's Day and my anniversary about a week or two ago, and have just received an email stating the restaurant will no longer be part of open table, is my reservation now invalid? Am I still able to keep the table I reserved?

Is there a gratuity charge? If so what is the percentage? Or do you tip at own will?

Response from Cogirl123 | Property representative |
It is the guest's decision on how much to tip unless it is a larger party. For banquet's the service charge is generally 22% unless payments are late.
Don't you think it was possible that the reservation times filled up in the 2 hours that elapsed between the time you made your reservation and the time you got there? You're an idiot!
