Been going to this place since 1989. Always great food. It is all made from scratch and it shows in the quality. It takes a while to get the food so just sit back, relax and enjoy a margarita!

GREAT food. Very attentive wait staff. Margaritas are REALLY good. 6 dinners ordered and were served promptly. Shrimp tacos, Chicken Sopapillas, burritos. Hot plates, tasty food! And for dessert there were cinnamon and sugar sopapillsa and cinnamon ice cream! You will want to come early,...More

This is a typical Leadville style restaurant with an interesting "house like" floor plan. Off the main drag, but very good food and excellent wait staff. One of Leadville's best restaurants in my opinion.
The food was very tasty and our server, Brennan was the BEST!!!! The food is always consistent and great!!!

It was filling and the presentation was good. However, the meats lacked flavor. The desserts are delicious, and service was very good. We had a party of 8, and we were well taken care of. They have a full bar.
Compared to the places uptown (besides Casa Blanca) this is by far the best place for authentic Mexican food. The other places serve food that obviously come from a can. Pretty pricey though, can only visit every once in awhile.
Be patient - it's worth the wait. Every restaurant has it's ups and downs and we've seen them through a variety of wait staff. There's turnover, but that's everywhere up here. The owners always get the challenges corrected - because they do care. We've always had...More
Hatch chiles are featured in the salsa and other menu items. The bowl of green chile is the hottest item on the menu for those brave enough to try it. Friends and I have frequented this old Mexican place for a couple decades now. The...More
