The service is great and the food is superb! Always a treat for us. From farm to table, the food is fresh, flavors are fantastic, portions are perfect for us.

When we brought our out of town family guests to Golden, I thought, cheap eats! After all, it is mostly a burger/pizza town based on my past visits. So naturally, my wife and her cousin stumbled upon probably the most expensive restaurant in town! It...was very good and not like anything that I expected here. I mean, it's GOLDEN! So maybe I need to expand my thinking about the town. We were all hungry and got two orders of the bread basket. Wow....terrific! I got the Herb Crusted Lamb Chop as did the other male and my wife and her cousin both got the Pan Roasted Chicken. They were all very good, but the nod goes to the chicken because it was juicy and not dry whereas the lamb was just a tad under cooked for me. Regardless, I would order any of it again. What I didn't like was Israeli Cous Cous which comes as a cake and not loose cous cous that I am used to. The form didn't matter but it just wasn't great. We all left full; no room for dessert. My only objection, which I raise at every restaurant that does this, is adding on 2.5% service fee for the kitchen staff. I feel this is dishonest in that the prices should reflect the costs and profit the restaurant needs to make. Add on fees are just an irritant to the customer. Soon, we may see fees for valet, or hosts, or the night cleaning crew. Where does it end? Why not break out the waiter salaries as a fee too? Entrees run from about $24 to $31 and appetizers from $12 to $18. Service was excellent as was the food. The value I rated down a notch because of the add on fees which just don't sit well with me.More

Though the restaurant and menu options are on the small side, this was a lovely place for lunch. Our group of 3 were able to visit easily across our 4 top while enjoying our lovely creative cocktails and lunch choices. The beverages came out quickly...and the food was delivered with a nicely paced time frame so we were able to enjoy the beverages and conversation without hurrying. The food was fresh and very tasty. Service by Sarah was pleasant and professional. Prices for our luncheon options a little on the high side for a typical lunch but the ambiance, taste, and service was worth a luncheon splurge!More

Simple presentation, simple decor, but complex combination of flavors and cuisine! Staff is excellent, helpful, and like what they do, so it makes the great menu even more delectable. I love the steak dishes, but there are always surprises every time we go. A great...couples place to share and talk. Nice wine selection and simple ltttle bar with staff that educate on the pairings and best parts of menuMore

It’s always great food but I always leave hungry and broke. It’s hard to rate but I think it gets demoted when you spend 60$ a person with 1 drink are still hungry

Packed even late on a weeknight! And it no surprise as to why after eating here.! Smaller menu, but extremely creative and flavorful American contemporary food that is artfully presented. Little something for everyone from fish to beef to vegetarian. (Not so sure about vegan.)...Decent wine list with a few unusual choices to set aside a typical wine list from a restaurant this size. Bar looked well stocked as well but I didn't really peruse. Cozy and more intimate atmosphere and seating arrangement would make a great place to take a date. It was easy to have a conversation without shouting, but wasn't so quiet that everyone could hear what you were saying. Our server, Genna, was really friendly, fun, helpful, and knew the menu really well. She capped the whole experience off and really made the evening.More

Had lunch at Abejas (#3 on Trip Advisor) on a weekday. This turned out to be an excellent choice. Place was quiet and relaxed, unlike the Golden main street – it is on 13th, just a few doors off the main street. I had the...soup of the day which was tomato and green chile bisque with grated cheese on top – really excellent. I had the smoked trout salad and loved it; my wife had the Trout dinner plate and a second companion had the pasta of the day, which was home-made linguine with fava beans, sun bried tomatoes, zuchinni in an oil and basil sauce. I had a taste and it was really good. Service was good. Street parking.More

Recent customer dinner was the perfect meal with the perfect waitperson - Genna was knowledgeable, kind and didn't rush us - we were able to settle into our meal with a beverage - mine was the Bellatrix Lestrage and it was yummy! Others had wine...and beer - we shared 3 small plates and bread (they have GF options) Then each selected a different entree so we could each sample a morsel of each - The Hanger Steak was cooked to rare perfection for me and the lamb, pasta with English peas WOW! the food is locally sourced when it can be and just a delight. Please if you are in the area go get your cocktail and dining experience on - ask for Genna - she won't disappoint!More

This is a charming contemporary restaurant with a comfortable, inviting ambiance. It is small and has a fantastic waitstaff. We were there for lunch and I had the Colorado trout on farro. There was an exceptional pesto on the plate that was delicious and had...a wonderful kick from peppers. And, the dessert was out of this world. I had the raspberry panna cotta. The arrangement of the dessert on the plate was in itself a work of art. I can't say enough laudatory comments about this outstanding restaurant. If I could eat here every day for the rest of my life, I would. Yes. That good.More
