We were sight-seeing in the Georgetown area and spotted this restaurant around lunch time It had great Yelp ratings and we decided to give it a try. We weren't disappointed. Three of our group had the French dip sandwiches while I opted for the mountain...More

Met a friend for lunch. Our food was awesome, service was great, and they didn't have any problem with us sitting and hanging out for 2 hours.

chicken ala king = sliced mushrooms, diced green pepper, diced pimento and CHICKEN in a white wine cream sauce. This dish has been my "go to" and has always been delicious. Sunday morning 12/31/17 I ordered the half order of chicken ala king. What I...More

Sorry for the confusion. We are running a special of Chicken & Waffles, as a replacement for the Chicken Ala King (which we are removing from our menu in January). So you did receive the Chicken & Waffles, not the Ala King. We are happy...More

The restaurant service was great and the food had a home cooked style about it. The bacon and bean soup was perfect for the cold day. If we are ever back in Georgetown we will definitely be back.

My friend took me to the Happy Cooker yesterday for lunch. It was great I had the meatloaf sandwich which I had heard was good. I usually don't eat them at a restaurant as no one makes a meatloaf sandwich like Mom, but the Happy...More

Came here alone on a day trip after a long business busy week. It doesn’t get better than that, friendly people, nice meal, honest price. Had the quiche of the day with green chili and loved it. I recommend for anyone, solo or with friends...More

We came over the Guanella Pass (spectacular!) with the intent of eating at the Happy Camper. It was highly recommended by family. And yes - it's wonderful. We arrived and 11 and both breakfast and lunch were available. The waffles are crispy and the flavor...More

Thanks for visiting and giving us a review! We love the waffles too, and have been making them since 1974. Glad you tried the homemade bread we make daily, I like it with the sandwiches (substitute any bread you like). Hope you come again. Mike

Busy! Service was affected. Long time to order and long time to get our food. The turkey BLAT was OK and was the turkey sandwich. Both had a lot of turkey lunch meat and the avocado was good. Mayo on the side and the bread...More

Thanks for your feedback Jim. As we always expect, when it's busy in Georgetown, we are busy. And being a small restaurant, it's a challenge to serve over 100 people all at the same time. We will work on improving our service model, which also...More

We stopped for lunch and were again pleased to find the service excellent, the food hot and promptly delivered, and the price reasonable. During the summer you can dine outside but the patio closes after it snows. They may close for the winter, but I...More

Thanks for your review Doug! Glad you had a great experience. We are open all year, except for the two weeks for cleaning and maintenance (that was the notice you saw on the door). We will be having Winter specials too, so stop by again!

Hi Maria P. I am disappointed in your experience. I wish you would have asked the service staff what the menu items included or what they are. As a restaurant customer myself, I don't make assumptions, I ask the service staff and they are always...More
