We've been repeat customers at The Bistro ever since we moved to the mountains above Denver. It's reliably excellent, imaginative food with a constantly thoughtful wine list provided by a very attentive, polite staff. Very quiet and rustic, tastefully appointed. We've always left full, content...and ready to return. Highly recommended.More

This place won't hire very qualified people if they are older or gay that happen to live 2 miles away.

Today we supported Bistro by ordering take out. I ordered oven fried chicken. It came with absolutely nothing: no vegetables, no starch, no salad - nothing. It was $20./per piece of chicken. Unfortunately, it’s hard to support Bistro in hard times when the photo posted...on Facebook reflects a full meal that includes sides when in reality, it’s just meat. Very disappointed.More

The food is always fresh & delicious. The staff is very attentive. Best of all the menu is varied & changes regularly. Happy hour is a delight as well as Sunday brunch.

A little off the beaten path and a little lacking for convenient parking the Bistro is good and has a nice munue. Definitely not the worst I've had and deftly not the best but for the money it's a good value.

I can’t get the sweetness taste out of my mouth. Part of the blame for my bad experience at the bistro tonight was my misunderstanding of the menu. I quickly noticed that they are offering a short rib and I assumed they would be like...most places where I order a break short rib with the beef and will be savory and Rich and buttery like I get when I ordered it always or even better at the shaggy sheep up in Grant but what I received tonight was a couple pork ribs slathered in this incredibly sweet GUI sauce to taste like ass eating a cherry pie. Not what I was expecting or hoping for. I need to figure out a way to get this GUI sweetness out of my mouth. mimisunderstanding of their menuMore

My wife and I have started to make this our regular spot for "date night" we enjoy it so much. We go during happy hour for their food and drink specials in the bar. Its got a great rustic mountain feel to it and is...very warm and welcoming. The people are great - prompt, friendly, professional. Without a doubt this is the best food we've had in the Conifer/Evergreen area. We haven't had dinner here yet, but a cocktail and a couple of appetizers (plus their awesome fresh bread) are all we really need. Give it a shot...More

Disappointed on our visit to Bistro last Friday night. We brought another couple and had a nice table near the fire. We came hungry and ordered the special: bison rib eye. The meat was all gristle and fat and neither of us ate it, and...decided that we didn’t want our dog to have the left overs. Not sure why, but our server, KC, had a bad attitude that evening. She’s the only server left from our almost 20 years of dining at Bistro and we wished she didn’t ruin our dining experience. Bistro is not conveniently located for us locals on the North side and after this last experience we will have to weigh the other dining options where the staff knows our names are friendly and we don’t leave hungry. Very disappointed in this experience.More

We have been to Bistro 3 times in the recent years, usually for special occasions. This time it was our 50th anniversary and it did not disappoint. We started off with drinks in the bar, nicely served, and were then taken to a perfect table set...with rose petals (I told them it was an anniversary) next to the fireplace. Following the "bistro" salads and great shrimp cocktail appetizer, I had the filet and my wife had the salmon - both excellent and done just as we ordered. The potatoes were so hot when they arrived you had to be careful. Wine list is adequate, but not overwhelming and if that's your thing, you might be disappointed. The piano player kept up a lovely sequence of favorites - at least for people our age. Service was perfectly timed. We won't wait 50 years to go back :).More

I'd say they are a bit pricey but I found it well worth it. They offer game plates so I would say prices average $20 to $28. Some cheaper, some more.
