Not the first time around that I've eaten here. In the past I've had a burger here which was decent, this time I had a gyro sandwich. Needless to say, I've had better. There appeared to be more lettuce than meat, the usual tasteless restaurant...More

We ate here for lunch during the art festival. The place was busy, but only a 10 minute wait. We were seated on the back deck in the shade. After a few minutes we asked to move to a different table in the sun. They...More

I enjoyed this pizza, and later had left overs in camp (cold). I had a small beer since I had a ways to drive to get near the Maroon Bells to get ready for a backpack. Good service, plenty of tables.

I expect overpriced beer at microbreweries like this, and I got it. Unfortunately I ordered the gyro with a side of garlic mashed. The taters were good. The overpriced stout beer was ok, not too heavy but nothing special. The gyro was by far the...More

Good food and drink, popular with locals, but very noisy. If you want to hear what friends have to say ask to sit in the back. The food is very good, especially the trout.

The beer is great. Our grouo tried 3 different ones and they were all fantastic. The green chile quiche and the chicken avocado sandwich were good. The southwestern steak salad was meh - steak was tough, came out cold and was very well done. Definitely...More

Description
Steamworks Brewing Co. Opened its doors in Durango in September 1996. A favorite watering hole for locals and visitors alike, the brewpub has much more to offer than award-winning craft beer. Known as a town meeting place, Steamworks enjoys a bustling, fun environment. Steamworks' culinary program is unmatched in the region in both breadth and quality of offerings. The "gastropub" fare includes regionally-raised meats and sustainable seafood. Healthy salads, delicious pizzas, spicy Southwestern-style dishes, and vegetarian & gluten-free offerings provide something for everyone who's hungry. The Steam Engine Lager is "arguably the best American - Style Amber Lager in the world" as it has garnered four Gold Medals, a Silver and a Bronze Medal at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) over the years and also has taken a Silver Medal at the World Beer Cup (WBC). Steamworks has won a total of twelve GABF medals, and two WBC medals. The brewpub maintains up to 18 styles of beer on tap.
