So much fun to come down from a run and grab a beer here! Friendly staff and good food make this a great attraction at the best resort near Durango!

As one of the only restaurants in Purgatory Village you will not have many alternatives. Thus, take my review for what it is worth. Purgy's is the typical mountain village cafeteria for skiers who do not want to walk far from the slopes or drive to an offsite location (which would basically be Durango 30 miles South). The service staff... More

We've been coming to Purgatory annually for over 15 years. We've always looked forward to eating at Purgy's, which in the past, has had pretty good food. We flew in today and were exhausted, so tonight we decided to get a "to go" order from Purgy's and spent over $50. The food was inedible......not just average but horrendous. We got... More

We both ordered burgers. They had been pre-cooked, they even told us so. They threw them on the grill, added cheese and bacon to them, then set a stainless cover over them. They came out dry, hard, and disgusting. Inedible. I ate the bacon and cheese. We were all feeling bad the rest of the day. We remember when Purgy's... More

We ended the day having drinks and then stayed for dinner and the elk chops were perfectly cooked, an the Gorgonzola mashed potatoes, well could have eaten a couple of pounds of those, AMAZING!!!!! service was top notch.

I had dinner here two nights in a row. it was not crowded at all and the service was friendly and prompt. Had the Swiss mushroom burger one night and pork BBQ sandwich the next. Both were very good, as were the french fries. Pleasant mellow atmosphere.

I keep hoping a cook with higher standards will take over Purgys kitchen. Service is good but food mediocre- we're taking dogs burgers nachos- simple food that should be delicious after a long ski day. Food is often just warm, not hot- fish for fish & chips not freshly cooked- again just warm. Even the hot dog was returned to... More

I watched some guy pull hairs out of his burger. Disgusting! Chicken fingers under cooked in the inside. No ketchup or BBQ sauce!

Everything here was great. The only negative is trying to find a table to sit. I would suggest politely moving people along after a ressonable amount of time so others can eat. There were people actually sleeping at tables. Frustrating!

Family of five for pre-new year dinner. I was hesitant to reserve a dinner here as the restaurant caters to the burgers/fries/hotdog/ etc appetite of skiers. We ordered ribeye steaks and elk chops and salmon and a bottle of wine. The chef(s) did not disappoint. Amazing dinner that I would expect from a high end restaurant in a major city.... More
