So decided to go here for dinner! It was a bit noisy as they had live music... Got attended like almost 10 minutes later after sitting down at our table. Got menus and drinks but left because of their "limited menu" they usually have a Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich which I guess is now removed from the menu so we... More

We asked a few locals where we could get some good food, they all said the Irish Empress Pub! We went, it was very good. Great menu selection of Irish fare (they do have some non Irish dishes). Wait service was quick, everyone friendly. The place was definetly a locals hangout ..but don't let that keep you away, go enjoy!... More

Based on the many positive reviews, we were ready to enjoy some of the house specialties including the Irish Coddle Stew and the fish and chips for dinner on a not-so-busy Monday night. When our food arrived, we were surprised to see that the "hearty" stew was nothing more than five potato chunks and a five or six sausage pieces... More

This place is great! The staff was super swamped and they never skipped a beat. Drinks were kept full THANK YOU... The Chef "Nicko" came out and made sure everything was good. We will be back each and everytime we return to Durango. We were there during Celtic days and enjoyed the live music inside.

The place had the best fish and chips around, also had some good nachos, nice selection of beers, mostly Irish, but others also, prices are very good for the food.

The Embassy has always had respectable food. Good for the nights we were staying for the music. Sadly this particular evening the food was very disappointing as was our primary server. The support staff was excellent but we could tell our waitress had no interest in being there. We ordered the fried pickles, a favorite. What we were served were... More

My son ordered the meatloaf which tasted okay but looked like the food had been slopped onto the plate. I ordered the potato soup which tasted liked raw flour. I honestly can't remember my entree! My husband enjoyed the fish and chips.

So, really? Could you imagine an Irish bar the best kept secret in Colorado? Yes you can. This bar has some of the best food available in town, and that's saying a lot in a town that has so many good restaurants. If you're lucky enough to eat on Sunday, have the corned beef and cabbage... You won't regret it.... More

I ate here with my son on our last night in town. We each had a pint and a traditional meal. He had the shepherds pie and I had the fish and chips. The F&C were prepare two ways, beer battered and panko crusted. Both are delicious pub food.

If you want great food, this is a good choice. If you want good service....go somewhere else. Hostess seemed pissed and stayed playing on her phone, we saw our waitress once for water and the chance of getting a smile from the staff...probably not gonna happen. We had hoped for a better Durango Colorado experience.
