I ordered an omelette and was trying to decide on the side. My server recommended the pancakes. I decided to give it a go--to be polite! I wish I'd have ordered ALL PANCAKES, ALL DAY. They were moist and full of flavor, almost like a cake flavor. The bacon was honest bacon and the coffee was perfect. To be honest,... More

Last Monday morning I enjoyed the huevos rancheros at Sam's #3. They're justifiably a local favorite. The coffee was excellent, too.

Sam's #3 was featured on the Food Channel's "Diners and Dives", and it is wonderful! Best Breakfast in the theatre District - always packed on the week-ends, and dinner here is the good, heart-warming entrees you expect - chicken-fried steak, meat load, ribs, etc. Big servings.

I visited Sam's for breakfast whilst staying in Denver. The place was busy, but service was good and quick. After a week of heavy hotel breakfasts I wanted something easy on the waistline. I really liked the fact you can swap menu items for healthier options. I chose a fruit bowl instead of home fries. This came with 2 eggs... More

I went here to have a meal with my son. And was pleasantly surprised to find a offering that included all kinds of protein and vegetables but no dairy or gluten. It was absolutely delicious and very affordable. Sam's has a great staff and bubbly atmosphere. All their food is good all the time.

If you travel to Denver, you must stop at this Dinner to have breakfast, the food is great, and the service is outstanding. but make sure to be there early as the lines are long.. but totally worth it.

This is a basic diner, a little overpriced while serving basic breakfast food. It was a-ok, the portions were obscenely huge, but I doubt I would go back. I spent $22 on some eggs, ham and potatoes with coffee...just not worth it.

We saw a lovely ballet and decided to walk to Sam's No. 3 for a sweet treat. I was happy to get a single scoop sundae to my specs and the flavors were awesome. We ate ours as we walked to the car, and took in a brass band outside on such a sunny Denver afternoon.

What a great place. Good food and outstanding service. I have a hearty appetite and I almost couldn't finish the breakfast burrito.

Came here loved it. Came again. I had the souvlaki breakfast burrito: it was huge. Aye half. It's totally shareable. Also ate half a short stack of sweet cream pancakes. Amazing!! Can't wait to return

Description
Sam’s No. 3™ was the third of five Coney Islands restaurants opened by Sam Armatas during the 1920′s. The original location was at 1527 Curtis Street in the heart of downtown Denver. On Sept. 28th, 1998, Sam’s son, Spero, with his grandsons Sam, Alex, and Patrick, re-established his most famous of the Coney Islands restaurants, Sam’s No. 3™. In honor of the age old tradition, they made a promise to each other to continue to provide excellent quality of food and embrace the inviting, warm atmosphere started by “Mr. Sam” more than 75 years ago!In April 2011, our little kitchen was featured on Food Networks "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives". We were selected because so many local fans had written. A must-stop on any trip to Denver.
