Interesting to see the mixed reviews here. Readers should note that many of the negative reviews lean toward dissatisfaction with portion sizes. This isn't Olive Garden and you're not getting an all-you-can endless pasta bowl. In my one experience at the Palace Arms the quality of the ingredients and the care and creativity with which they were prepared and plated... More

I came here with two coworkers while traveling for a conference, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the refined ambiance the restaurant offers. We had an 8:00pm reservation and were promptly seated upon arrival by Mitchell, the supervisor. Our server quickly took our food and drink order, and our meals came out prepared to our specifications. The menu... More

The Brown Palace had advertised their Holiday Celebration online highlighting some of things dinner guests could expect. The evening sounded very special. However, as a retired teacher and a two-time breast cancer survivor this special event was outside of my budget. I commented online how wonderful it would be to attend such as event. An anonymous person read my message... More

Classic elegant ambiance, but the food was an over reach at gourmet/fusion, which never quite made it where the chef may have intended. The textures where fabulous, and some of the garnishes very tasty, but the overall taste of the main courses left much to be desired. The portions were also un-Coloradan. We've eaten in some wonderful places in L.A.,... More

The food was good enough, but unbelievably small. The steak was a whole four ounces. Fill up on bread!

Dinner in the early evening. Server was excellent. Elegant look and feel. Quiet dining experience. Very nice menu choices. Wine list is expansive but on the pricey side. The salmon and ribeye choices were excellent, presentation was very creative, but the portion size was modest. Both were well seasoned. I would say both choices were on the pricey side for... More

In a word, horrible. We arrived 5 minutes late for a 5pm reservation for 3 and still had to wait 10 minutes to be seated in an almost empty restaurant. Since this was Christmas dinner our only dinner option was vegetarian or not. No other choices permitted at the Arms on Christmas. I chose the vegetarian. The soup was lukewarm... More

This restaurant should be ashamed. We ate at the restaurant last night, Christmas Eve. The cost per person $135 plus wine, and any extra's. This had to be the worst meal I have ever experienced. There was no regular menu. The menu was much like a New Years Eve menu. They had a tasting menu, if you could call it... More

We have looked forward to our tradition of celebrating our anniversaries at the Palace Arms for the past 17 years. No more!!! Last Tuesday we had dinner there and were surprised that there was only one occupied table other than ours. The usual professionally prepared Caesar Salad at tableside ($20) was absent. Instead, a bowl of lettuce was placed in the... More

The Brown Palace is our very favorite Historic Hotel and a visit there is never complete without at least one visit to the Palace Arms. Imagine our disappointment when we visited on our first evening at the hotel, only to find that in this historic icon, there is absolutelty no traditIon maintained in menu selections. I very much understand the... More
