This was our first dining spot of a 2 week road trip around Colorado and we were not disappointed! Having flown in from the UK the night before we were looking forward to a decent meal - and I'm not sure if it's the altitude...More

An eclectic assortment of menu choices from around the world but using locally sourced produce & meat where possible. That being said, there is no sacrifice in quality - everything was delicious. I had several small plates instead of 1 entree , to get a...More

Very good food and very friendly servers. Great breakfast place and nice outdoor seating. Unfortunately it is a bit run down. Broken parasols and a wasp nest right by the table. Had to take 2 stars off for that. A little more investment in the...More

We had the gnocchi and the veggie sliders, both of which tasted quite good. Good service overall, although a bit overpriced.

Root Down has very fresh and exciting foods. All of the plates are well conceived, and the drink menu is excellent. Highly recommended.

Root Down is a very tightly packed venue with no major open space for a dog. As a dog owner, I wish US laws would be more like France where dogs in restaurants are a common event.

Root Down aims to connect the neighborhood to a dining experience in the same way ingredients are connected to food. There should be a seamless bond between the elements and experience, which stimulates the senses and draws people in. Root Down serves “globally influenced seasonal cuisine,” which basically means we go where inspiration leads us. We’re not tied to one style or genre—we’re hoping to create one of our own. At Root Down we pride ourselves on striving to solve the ‘Omnivore’s Dilemma.’ We have created a dining spot where all dietary needs will be accommodated, including vegetarian, vegan, raw and gluten free; also allergies or intolerances are always handled professionally by the kitchen team. Our menu has icons reflecting this philosophy, though we always request you notify your server of specific needs. We look forward to seeing you soon!
