I have wanted to go here for a long time. Finally, I had the opportunity. We started with bottomless Blood Orange Mimosas. They had a weird chemical taste that reminded me of motor oil. Thinking it was the juice, I switched to regular orange juice....More

We decided on sharing small plates between three diners, one of whom had a minor food allergy and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that anything we ordered would not be an issue. Everything was delicious, from salads to desserts, but our favorite...More

We had high expectations based on reviews so were disappointed that the food was less than exceptional. We had reservations but had to wait 20 mins for table. Service was very pleasant.

Root Down is one of my all time favorites in Denver, awesome food, great drinks and the atmosphere is jumping, lots of good looking people to watch. They also have a great list of beers from many of the top breweries in town.

If you want a good deal, order the bottomless mimosa. I ordered one for $8 but bottomless is $14. The breakfast burrito was more tortilla than filling

We went here for Denver Restaurant Week. I am not a big root vegetable person, but I loved everything we ordered (except the beet salad, but I hate beets). The service was great; friendly and prompt. Servings were not large, but we all left satisfied....More

Fresh and unique food! I always try something new when I am here and they have the best cocktails, try the one with the jalapeño!

Root Down is a very tightly packed venue with no major open space for a dog. As a dog owner, I wish US laws would be more like France where dogs in restaurants are a common event.

Unless we're going very early would try to find babysitter...is loud and crowded and unless your child is used to crowds would probably find somewhere else to go...many other restaurants around

Root Down aims to connect the neighborhood to a dining experience in the same way ingredients are connected to food. There should be a seamless bond between the elements and experience, which stimulates the senses and draws people in. Root Down serves “globally influenced seasonal cuisine,” which basically means we go where inspiration leads us. We’re not tied to one style or genre—we’re hoping to create one of our own. At Root Down we pride ourselves on striving to solve the ‘Omnivore’s Dilemma.’ We have created a dining spot where all dietary needs will be accommodated, including vegetarian, vegan, raw and gluten free; also allergies or intolerances are always handled professionally by the kitchen team. Our menu has icons reflecting this philosophy, though we always request you notify your server of specific needs. We look forward to seeing you soon!
