This used to be our go to place when in Cripple Creek on a Friday or Saturday night. After our last visit we may have to make The Steakhouse at Bronco Billy's as our new go to. The food was pretty much the same as always but the wait time between courses was horrific! The server told us as she... More

I had the ruby red trout with spinach risotto - excellent. Broccolini and carrots were still crisp. Wine selection is good-I had a merlot which was good. Husband had the shrimp, scallops, champagne cream sauce over linguini. Very good and he brought his leftovers home. The service was excellent; our waiter was extremely attentive and helpful. Would not hesitate to... More

Whenever we are in Cripple Creek and we want a quiet, more upscale place to eat dinner, we head to Winfields. The food there is consistently good and we have always found their service to be attentive. They are only open on Fridays and Saturdays, but sometimes they do open on certain holidays.

July 4th was our first visit to this restaurant. We had a group of 6 and had a reservation for 6:30, We arrived a little early and was seated immediately. The service was exceptional, the atmosphere was cozy and pleasant, and the food was excellent. We had the crab cakes and shrimp cocktail for appetizers and they were both delicious.... More

How long has it been since we visited Cripple Creek? Well, the last time we were here, there were no casinos on Bennett Avenue. That's how long. And there was no Winfield's, arguably the best dining room this side of the Penrose Room at the Broadmoor. We had been advised that Winfield's was the best restaurant in Cripple Creek and... More

We had our lunch comped due to staying at the Double Eagle Hotel. We had the chicken fried steak lunch and it was excellent. Way more than either one of us could eat. The service was great.

For a restaurant tucked under a casino, you might have low expectations. You would be mistaken. Winfields's is a little known treasure in the former mining town of Cripple Creek, Colorado. Getting there is tricky (two elevators and a trek across the gaming floor) but well worth the effort. A wine list to satisfy the most extensive palate, entrees cooked... More

Service was good, meal was good, nice atmosphere, meals were reasonably priced. The lighting was little poor, and not sure but the roof appeared to be under construction.

One of our members is allergic to nuts and the bread has nut oil so keep that in mind. Had to ask after he started to feel a little funny. The waiting staff did a great job at being kind and attentive. The food was very tasty. Our party was enjoying the experience until it was time to pay. The... More
