On a day that was too threatening weather-wise for my skiing abilities, a friend and I opted for a short trip to Creede. After a brief shopping spree, we chose Cafe Ole for lunch. It was a delightful choice! The owner and her Mom greeted us so happily as we entered the cheery cafe setting. And that was just the... More

Maybe it was just the time of year (late October), but this seemed the place likely to pick-up on any local gossip. A trio of ladies were staffing the kitchen, and after some respectful distance, they seemed to edge around to find out why the strangers were in town. And they were willing to share advice on what to do... More

We called ahead to hold our cinnamon rolls and when we arrived to get them, the breakfast sandwiches looked soo good we had that too. The ladies there work very hard and are dedicated to serving, hot, fresh food. We have never been disappointed in what we have ordered. But, be prepared to sit and visit because each order is... Stopped for lunch with a friend. I had the turkey, provolone, green chile and avocado on soft Kaiser roll...it was wonderful. I've never had a roll like that before. The whole sandwich tasted so unique with that combination. My friend had the Marsha Special which was turkey, provolone and bacon....so yummy. The restaurant is very tiny with only 5-6 tables.... We have bee to Creede many times but I never even considered going into this tiny cafe. One of the people we know mentioned that we should eat here next time we go to Creede. I must say the sandwich was absolutely wonderful. The bread is o-la-la. My husband decided to split ($1) a sandwich since we weren't very hungry.... More

This was a great little place for a great sandwich or salad. The day we went they were a little behind due to the lack of help in the kitchen but the food was wonderful so we didn't mind. I had a salad. Very fresh and tasty. My daughter had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and they even cut... More

First, Creede is a gorgeous quaint Colorado town. I can't believe we've never been! We came early (taking pics) and stopped here for a caffeinated jump start. So glad we did! Fresh baked goods, friendly small town staff, and today - biscuits and sausage gravy. Just yummmmm

Small restaurant on the corner, limited seating. Very good sandwiches, nice people running the place. If you are in a hurry to get a meal this is not the place but if you want to enjoy the town and its establishments this is a good place to have a meal.

Cafe Ole has moved; not far, just across the street. Sometimes we have to trust that the next door will open to a new adventure. In Cafe Ole's case, this move was a blessing. The airy atmosphere of Cafe Ole's new digs is charming, comfortable and inviting. You can even watch the food being prepared at the wonderful split-log bar... More
