The atmosphere is good. The service was slow, the food was fair. I will most likely try it again and hope for better.

This is a must when you're in Creed! I don't believe that I have ever been in a more friendly bar (except perhaps in Ireland). We stopped in for a "light bite". The loaded nachos shared 4 ways was plenty and delicious. Definitely a locals place, but they were friendly and inclusive. The beer selection was also very good. Can't... More

Enjoyed a great lunch here on 4th of July. We visit Creede a few times a year, and try different spots, most often. First timers at Tommyknockers, but we'll be back! Pleasant wait staff, hearty and tasty food, fun rustic mountain mining atmosphere.

Good food and cold beer. Full bar and open all year everyday. Nachos will fill you up. Nothing like the local flavor of this bar that dates back to the 1890's.

We stopped here as we were driving through town to get to Lake City, Colorado. We weren't disappointed. All 4 of us got something different and we all enjoyed our meal. The nachos were delicious with lettuce and tomatoes in addition to the "regular" nacho stuff. We also enjoyed the BBQ Pork Sandwich and brisket sandwiches. All was wonderful --... More

We have been here before, but this time they were out of a lot of menu items. The did not have their Honeywagon, Potato Salad or Cole Slaw. Had to settle for the Kraft Mac and Cheese. Jordan, our server, was running ragged up and down to serve customers sitting upstairs. The sandwiches and beer were good.

We enjoyed the BBQ sandwiches. They were out of wings. The service was good considering she was new, the place was packed and she had to go up and down a flight of stairs to serve us. But the place is neat- like an old fashioned saloon.

Excellent BBQ Pork Sandwich with side salad that contained much more than just lettuce! Sat outside on second floor with a beautiful view of the mountains.

I will say the food was some of the better that we had while in Creede. However, place is basically a bar with some tables and not a place to take your kids. We stopped in around 5pm on a Tuesday. Service was lacking. The owner, bartender, and a hand full of "regulars" were at the bar the entire time.... More

Description
The Tommyknocker Tavern was established in 1999 by a group of locals in the historic mining town of Creede, Colorado. Over the last thirteen years, it has grown to be a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, featuring great live music all summer and fun local events throughout the winter! The Tavern's restaurant (The BBQ Bistro) serves great food in the casual setting of this historic Creede building with a spacious back patio. Delicious sandwiches, salads and our famous BBQ Ribs go great with our selection of both locally and globally brewed beers.
