Great ice cream, shakes and food. Small place but well worth the wait. The blueberry shake is my favorite to have with fries, burger or hotdog. Drive thru or get out and sit. My wife and I are locals and we go there too often:)

We all scream for ice cream! We were having trouble finding an ice cream shop and had almost given up when BJ's Velvet Freez appeared. We stuck with a classic chocolate soft-serve cone and it did not disappoint. Just what we needed. It seems like quite a popular place too!

Classic ice cream done right. Prices are fair. Dipped cones are delicious. Although the sizes are beyond generous! Overall, yum!

We were in town for 5 days and we went to B J's 3 nights in a row. We had two kids and they loved the sundaes but I loved the dipped cones. Chocolate & Peanut Butter dipped cones were excellent. I have never seen any hard dip besides chocolate so I was impressed. I would tell anyone in that... More

Bj's is an average drive in style burger place. They have the tables in front right next to the drive up window. So if you choose to eat at there tables you have running cars a few feet away. Too much exhaust for me. We have had great burgers and terrible burgers. Not going back. Not consistent food quality. Too... More

Stopped her after a basketball tournament at Colorado College. Kids had ice cream cones and I had a Mango smoothie. Everything was great and brought back memories of unique diners that used to be commonplace across the US.

OK, so I am a child of the 60's and remember piling in the car and going for ice cream. This is a old Tastey Freeze with a walk up window and a tight drive thru. They have the best soft serve ice cream, chocolate, vanilla or a twist if you desire! You can get sprinkles on your cone or... More

Small business at its best, community lives here. We love to stop by after school for a soft serve ice cream cones dipped. There are several choices of desserts, but also lunch items too.

We go here when we go to Leon Gessi pizza which is right next door. They have a great selection of ice cream and even have anything from sandwiches to fries too.
