This place is fun, cool, casual, and excellent. All four of is ordered the Shuga Cafe Tray. Every one of the items were excellent. The wait staff are very mellow and we were never hurried. I would call this the Trader Joe's of restaurants because...More

We stopped at Shuga's for dinner on our way from Great Sand Dunes to Denver. The place is charming, especially the outside. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. I had the Brazilian soup (shrimp), which was delicious. My husband had the butternut squash salad...More

The food was good, service ok, but the pricing is way to expensive for what you get. The grilled cheese with a side of soup costs $20! My husband and I both got the same thing, for 2 grilled cheese sandwiches and a very small...More

Shuga was recommended by a local CC friend and wow did it impress. Tucked away in a residential area the feeling, energy, and vibe made us want to just hang there. Service really good and food was a limited menu but great taste. The outdoor...More

I believe they do have gluten free. I know that Coquettes gluten free bakery will be moving in a block away from Shugas.

Yes, there is seating inside and outside. You can see the mountains from certain angles. The staff was great so I'm sure if you ask to sit in a specific area they'll accommodate.

Description
Established in 2001.

Shuga's was created by Alexius Weston as a place to hang out with great food and really inventive cocktails. She had just come from the Northwest area of the country and wanted to create a cool space where she felt comfortable. Initially focusing on Vivace espresso as a delicious mainstay, the place soon morphed into serving amazing paninis, salads, and the out-of-this-world Brazilian Coconut Shrimp Soup. The infusion of Lavender Martinis and cocktails created with care helped launch Shuga's into the forefront of the local Colorado Springs food scene.
