We had dinner here last night for my son's birthday. They even let us bring his cake. Nice open space. Kinda old school decor. Reminded me of the old time Italian restaurants. Comfortable chairs. Large tables. Only demerits are for slow service. However, in a day and age when we expect everything to be instantanious, it was a nice chance... More

Aha! I KNEW it. I'm getting better at figuring out what will be a great date spot and what place I need to visit just to stuff my face alone, privately. This one doubles as both. The service is still some of the greatest in the area and the food - well, the food is just heavenly. I can now... More

I enjoyed dinner here and will definitely go back. Plenty of parking and a short wait for a table. My wife and I had clam chowder and oysters on the half shell with a lobster roll and shrimp po'boy with the salad bar. Nothing super fancy, but tasted great. My only complaint was the wait for food. Took too long... More

The service was good. Jasmine is very professional. However the food was down right horrid. Powdery spice all over everything made it inedible gumbo was a soup with NO rue and also powdery taste. Sad to pay a bill of 70 dollars and did not take more than a couple bites. Really wanted to try this place in the neighborhood... More

My wife and I went there for Christmas eve dinner. They had a special on the blackboard of Grouper. The fish did not have much taste but she ate most of it. She did not bother to inquire of the price but all the times she has eaten Grouper, it has never cost more than about $22. When we got... More

Had the calamari as an appetizer. Very yummy. They gifted us with some peel an eat shrimp. Both were fabulous. He had the clam chowder which is served in a bread bowl which he enjoyed. I ordered the mexican seafood gumbo. I was worried it might be too spicy. Our amazing server, Tiffany, made me a cheese quesadilla to go... More

My husband and I stumbled across this place by accident and we love it! The food is delicious, the service fantastic (thanks Jasmine). We've added The English Dockside to our list of favorites here in the Springs.

I've never had a bad meal here. And they always treat me like royalty. I have my preferred table, the service is always impeccable, and man, do they know how to make a killer vodka martini here. The biggest indulgence for me is the poboy. They really know what they're doing on that score, too HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

First, when you walk in, the carpet is very dirty and the atmosphere is dingy. I feel liked I stepped back into a 1972 lounge. There was no kids menu and, therefore, not family friendly. The service was poor and slow, but not as bad as the food. I had shrimp and grits which tasted like paste. My kids had... More

That exterior looks dive bar quaint, but I LOVE the atmosphere inside. Even though I had to go this trip solo, I would bring a date here or a business colleague. Love the neighborhood it's nestled in. Stellar service - and I could sit in that leather-backed chair all day - hanging out in a small, intimate table by the... More
