Great service friendly staff, food was great we will definitely return. We ordered the no 3. It was well prepared and as the menu described. My kids were happy with their meal as well. Very family friendly

I grew up in Denver where the Mexican restaurants have to be great or they fail. I walked in and was seated. The waitress sat me then forgot about me, even though there were only two other people in the place. She found her way back to me, dropped chips and a bland salsa left me there for another 10... We were in Castle Rock this weekend for the Douglas County Fair and decided to have dinner at El Mason as we had memories of good food there. Memories are deceiving or things changed. It was not very good. The green chile sauce was bland. The chips were extremely greasy. The carnitas were not cooked properly. The beans and rice... More

The Fajita's are good but everything else is just meh. The salsa, beans, rice and guac are all pretty bland. The Enchiladas, burritos and chimichanga were all pretty boring and not very full of well, fillings. On the upside the margarita's were really good and strong. For the cost, the food just wasn't worth it.

We tried this a couple of times because we are from Texas originally and like authentic Mexican food. The tacos are just mediocre and the owner acts like it's an inconvenience to take your order if you appear to be non-Hispanic. He chats and laughs and gives good service to Hispanic patrons, but not to Gringos. What's funny about that... More

First of all it took one hour for our party of three to receive our meals. We were the first in the restaurant for lunch . We received our meals at the same time as the second customers that walked in the door.our toddler had bean and cheese nachos ( they were overdone) I had a smothered bean burrito and... More

I have visited Colorado on 2 different 3 month trips now from the UK now. Each time I visit I crave for this place. I ADORE it. I love the burritos and highly recommend the Mexican coke. The service is very friendly and prompt! The cafe style area is exceptionally clean! I, for one will be a regular customer at... More

We'd eaten at EL Meson for a breakfast burrito in the past and it was alright. Today we ended up there because Santiago's (our first choice) and El Parral were closed. The girl taking orders acted like we were such an inconvenience. My husband ordered me a water (after ordering 3 burritos and 2 pops) and it came with no... More

This place has decent Mexican food but is completely overpriced for the taste and amount of food you get. El Parral is a much better choice or for a better place make the 15 minute drive to Littleton and go to Los Dos Potrillos.

El Meson has fabulous homemade chips and salsa! The fish tacos are always fresh and the green chili sauce has a perfect heat and flavor over their smothered burritos! The ambiance is minimal being inside the Safeway strip mall but service is always friendly. We often call our order to go and enjoy it in the comfort of home.
