This might have been the most strange restaurant experience we have ever encountered. First I would like to make it a point that the Owner who seems to be a true original Greek is extremely friendly especially with the kids. The Restaurant however has been stuck in time since the (I don't know?) 60's and to me seemed rather unkept.... More

Authentic Greek food by an authentic Greek. In business since 1976. He never handed us a menu, he just asked if we wanted gyros. I said, "Sounds great." And they were.

Place is dimly lit and only one person in the place. My wife did not want to stay but as soon as I heard Gus' accent I knew the food was going to be good. We ordered the Gyro and fries. The Gyro was one of the best gyros I have ever had and the fries were hand cut. The... More

From the outside this place doesn't even look like a restaurant. Upon walking in the door, you are greeted right away by the owner, Gus. The restaurant is huge and unoccupied as well as dark. I can't quite put my finger on it but there is something unique about this place, once all is said and done. There's little to... More

This restaurant is owned and operated by a first-generation Greek gentleman. He also prepares the food. It is very good. Food quality - excellent Menu selection - limited Atmosphere - okay Price - very inexpensive

Walked to this place from our hotel....door was open, dimly lit and only one guy in the place. Asked if they were open and he said "not really, but I could fix you something to eat". He offered us a gyro, salad & fries so we rolled the dice. 5 minutes later he presented us with a fresh Greek salad,... More

Read the reviews and should have known better. The outside was horrible and the inside even worse. The owner "Gus" was lonely likely due to no business and was most talkative. The place should be closed up before someone becomes seriously sick.

Gus is a wonderful proprietor. He'll probably tell you what you want to eat, since they have no menu, but the Gyros, salads, fries, steaks are all great. He sometimes has other goodies available, but you have to go to find out. He also does take out. Definitely a place to check out if your in Canon City.

We drove by to give it a look and kept on going. The reviews, however, said to disregard the outside, and the inside too, and give it a try so we did. We should have kept on going. I have had a better gyro in....Greece, of course, but also Chicago, Hawaii and Texas! We were not bothered by the electrical... More
