On our way into Boulder from Denver, we stopped off that the Tandoori Grill for a lunchtime meal. the Lamb Jelfreizi with rice and aloo gobi hit the right spot. our meal of paladins, mango chicory, vegetable curry and lamb curry was £60 before tips.

New management is enthusiastic and pleasant. Food is flavorful and varied. The momos have a complex flavor with just enough spiciness. The onion kulcha is nicely textured with clear onion flavor. Portions generous--we took home as much as we ate.
Been dining here for years. When it's good, it's very good. When it ain't, well... The other night was a bit of a disappointment. I had often brought home the Masra Dal during the pandemic, and found it a hearty lentil stew, worthy of being...an entree. This time, it was a thin, insipid soup with a serving spoon completely submerged in it. I had ordered "medium" hot and it wasn't hot in any way -- neither spicy nor particularly warm. Cooled down rapidly, I guess, in the shallow serving dish. For 15 bucks, it was a bust. It should have been listed as a soup, served in a soup bowl, and priced at 5 bucks! There was a meager bowl of rice on the side for two people. I overheard two other tables asking for more rice while we ate.More
Ate here 3 yrs. ago and was eager to see how we felt NOW. Turns out our visit was OK...but again, the food was NOT special. Actually, leftovers the following day seemed better to us. I had vegetable biryani....med spice......when I had leftovers i added...tofu i had whipped up. Liked that. Son and hubby ordered chicken tika masala (I think) Hubby also liked his leftovers more. Son ordered samosas....I can't understand why. SO lackluster. The garlic naan is always a hit....and he ordered another naan with onions. YUM to both. b The guys both had chai. Son treated us....................when we left many tables on the patio were occupied.More
I ordered thru Grub hub and got a $12 discount. The Shrimp Curry was fantastic...just the right amount of spices and the Garlic Naan Bread was very good. Grub Hub was quick. They are a little more than other places but well worth it. Often...I save $2 and dont get a great meal. I will go backMore
I was quite disappointed after reading the reviews. My experience was more like the persons’ who complained about old spices and cooking. While everyone here is super friendly and nice, which is greatly appreciated, the food didn’t taste freshly made, it lacked flavor and I...just didn’t want to eat it. It wasn’t just one dish, but several dishes, some I thought was slightly better than others, but generally, I haven’t found any food here that I feel like coming back for.More
Our son treated us to dinner here tonight.......he's been coming here for YEARS. We did have a dinner or two years ago......and certainly the lunch buffet..also a long time ago. The samosas were awful.........the garlic naan was quite good......and the naan w/ onion and herbs(it's...called something else) was fabulous. Son had chicken tikka masala: mild...tasted it.....it was Ok....hubby had lamb vindaloo: medium and was NOT impressed..felt there were more potatoes than lamb no value considering the price....I had the chicken korma, mild....it too, was OK. We all, took home leftovers. There were diet cokes...you can only have one refill......and son also had the chai...you can only have one refill. I know Tandoori Grill has been here for years.....they MUST be doing something right......but it may be another decade before we return....if we live that long. Prices are HIGH......service was OK......the food was nothing exceptional. I can just imagine what the bill was........NOT CHEAP If i could give a 3.5* I probably would.....NO higher.More
This family really does this well. They make amazing Saag, Tika, and other dishes. The kabob sampler is tender, flavorful, and just a proper amount of spice. The semi-attached pub, is a fun hangout as well. It has a well stocked bar, with comedy and...live music several times a month.More
The Dahl soup so tasty in the calm serenity of this Boulder Indian delight. The vegetable curry or karma comes served with a ND, DF coconut milk option. The service is excellent. Choose the level of how spicy. Take out containers need to be clearly...marked, especially when ordering 6-8 dishes which come with extra container of rice. Recommend expanding the V/Veg. options with GF and DF/ND clearly and proudly displayed on the menu. Offer SOS free menu options (free of sugar, oil, salt) The aloo ghobi is a treat.More
The Chicken Curry and Bengan Bartha were delicious. The staff were friendly, food/drinks arrived quickly and portions were great.
Had a great meal w friends one night but lousy take out another night. Portions smaller...Food not as tasty. Thought price a little high.
Authentic and delicious offerings from my favorite vegetable samosa to the tikka masala. The naan bread never makes it out of the parking lot when I pick up.
Mid week dining at its best - no noise and a easy buffet option. Friendly staff and just right for time to catch up with friends
Wonderful experience with their catering! They came through in a last minute order I needed when (the other indian food restaurant) cancelled on me last minute. Thank goodness! They somehow managed to do a 30 person lunch in 1 hour notice!
The buffet is really good with many delicious options. If you are ordering from the main course, the try Kadai Paneer and Malai Kofta. They are really good in taste as compared to other Indian restaurants in Boulder.
