Very authentic Mexican food with tasty Margs. There is usually a little bit of a wait on the weekends but it's worth it. The chips and salsa are delicious, the green chile is incredible, and if you have the guts, the spiciest salsa is great, but it'll make you sweat

Great food and margaritas. Attentive service. I'm fond of their menudo and have never been disappointed. Hubby loves the ribs and the burritos. Went to this location to have lunch and to purchase gift cards, unfortunately gift cards are not available at this location. Went to the Lafayette location to buy them but they are not interchangeable between locations. It... More

I haven't had green chile in a few years because it's always made with flour and I didn't realize how much I wanted some until I got the costillas (ribs) here. They were smothered in gluten free green chile and accompanied by beans and potatoes that were also wonderful. They have the gluten free items marked on the menu so... More

This place is definitely a dive in a industrial park, but the food and margaritas are great. I get the Mondongo plate of beef pieces in a chili brown sauce with rice, beans and flour tortilla. My wife gets the enchiladas with hot sauce on the side because it is really hot for her. Decor is used beat up old... More

Efrain's is solid, traditional Mexican. We always enjoy the enchiladas, which are absolutely drenched in melted cheese. The plates are wicked hot, so when they say "don't touch,": they mean it. The spicy green chili is just about unbearably hot. Low key atmosphere matched by inexpensive menu. Good food.

To look at it, you'd not think much of going to eat at this restaurant. Situated in a light industrial mall, the exterior of the building is extremely non-descript with the exception of the crowds of folks sitting and standing around, waiting to eat inside. We ate here on a Friday night and it was busy -- 45 minute wait,... More

Visited Efrain's many many times. Their traditional dishes are excellent, blue corn enchiladas, with or without chicken are right out of Northern Mexico. The Efrain is great, but very fiery. I have chosen not to move on the Tex/Mex part of the menu and will not comment on it. I have tried both steaks, which again are in a Northern... More

The food and the service was horrible! I would never go back here. My husband and I had Taco Bell a few weeks later and it was 1000 times better than this place!

Found this place solely by chance and when we drove up and saw the look of it, we nearly drove off. Inside isn't much better as it possessed cheap tables and chairs, not all that clean and not that welcoming. However, clearly looks are deceiving as the food was very good. Huge portions and good flavors. Authentic food without the... More

The wait for a table on a Monday night was well over 20 minutes. The place is busy and so seems well supported by locals. The food was okay and there was a lot of it, although I would rather it less better food than more average. Having said that, it was far from the best Mexican food I have... More
