Building is unique and has history from Tajikistan. Outside seating looks romantic. Very airy and tall windows and ceiling inside. House chai is excellent, and refills are free. Coffee was kind of bitter. Food is priced well and cam in cute plates. Too bad they were out of the mushroom app. Dessert is obviously American and pricey for what you... More

While the food here is decent and the tea as well, the real draw is the beautiful architecture donated by Boulder's sister city in Tajikistan. If you come on a Saturday in Summer it will be amidst the bustling scene of the Boulder Farmer's Market and you might have to wait an hour to get a table, otherwise, it is... More

My favorite place to dine in Boulder. Unique decor and history. Food is exceptional and the selection of tea is amazing. A good place to celebrate an event , meet a friend for brunch or bring a friends or family visiting the area.

I was thrilled to be able to see my childhood friend when I was in Denver for the Revive Dance Convention. She said there was this great teahouse that I would love. And she was right. First, the drive out to Boulder is gorgeous–beautiful mountain views the whole way. And then the town of Boulder is quaint and hip. This... More

I really enjoy having tea at Dushanbe. I've had a birthday brunch there which was a lot of fun too.The menu is more unique than most places and the brunch drinks are also good. There are options for vegan and gluten free folks. You can't go wrong sitting inside or outside. Inside you will enjoy the beautiful painted walls and... More

We did carry out because there was a long wait to be seated though plenty of empty tables. The salad I ordered was very plain and it mostly consisted of iceberg lettuce. All in all, it was quite disappointing.

I have been wanting to come to this place ever since I left Boulder in the 1990s, and I was happy that I finally got the chance. It was every bit as fantastic as I had imagined from descriptions--truly a one-of-a-kind testimony to international brotherhood and incredible artisanship and craftsmanship. The tea was really good too, and even reasonably priced!

What a beautiful setting for a cuppa! The building did look closed from outside but actually inside it was quite busy. The staff were friendly and the setting amazing. We didn't eat food although what we saw coming out for breakfast looked really scrummy. The tea choice was vast and a great experience as well as a drink. Don't fear... More

We made a reservation for our party and arrived exactly on time. We were greeted by confused staff who told us they were still getting our table set. After standing in the sun for another 20 minutes our reserved table was finally ready. The dining room was unique and beautiful but uncomfortably warm. We sat down to tepid water and... More

Description
The Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse is nestled against the Rocky Mountain Foothills in Boulder Colorado. Sitting alongside Boulder Creek in Central Park, the Teahouse is considered one of Boulder's most attractive and popular tourist attractions, as well as being a local favorite for great food, tea, and atmosphere.

Completely built by hand without the use of any power tools, the Teahouse was constructed in Dushanbe, Tajikistan as a gift to their sister city, Boulder. It was disassembled, crated up, and sent halfway around the world to be rebuilt in Boulder as a symbol of friendship and cultural exploration. The elaborate and creative teahouse now sits as a reminder to the citizens of Boulder to value cultural diversity, global cooperation, and international friendship.
