An outstanding meal at bar on very, very busy night. Service at bar was attentive, profession. Bottle of wine from Tempranillo region plus 5 tapas plates: grilled vegs, calamari (grilled & fried), shrimp, tuna tartar. More than ample--could easily done with four. Total bill including tip, tax was $100. If in a hurry quicker service available at bar. Extensive craft... More

Husband and I stopped here for dinner during a weekend trip around Pitkin. Food was absolutely delicious - simple, very tasty, healthy "home-prepared" style - and the wine and gin&tonic were just as good! Owners are great and take care of their customers - from checking we had enough bread, to bringing us an extra seat cushion. We ate outside... More

2 visits over 2 months. Great great food ( tapas style ) , make sure they let you know the "special " prices . When every tapas is in 10.-/15.- range you don't expect the specials to run 20.- each. The food is fantastic , service is overwhelmed on weekends but again , beautiful restaurant in the old Basalt. Diner... More

Excellent food and drink in this charming restaurant in downtown Basalt Colorado! Both tapas choices and full plates with good wine selections! Will definitely look forward to another evening at Tempranillo!

We ate on the porch as it was a lovely evening so I cannot speak to the atmosphere inside but the porch was very pleasant. Service was very good as was the food. Salads were an artful blend of fresh fruit and vegetables tastefully blended with just the right amount of dressing. We shared a steak and it was cooked... More

We had 8 for dinner and sat outside on their lovely patio. The special for the night was a lobster, shrimp ravioli. Wow, very good. But my husband had a bow tie pasta with chicken and sun dried tomatoes that was the favorite of everyone's. Delicious! Our server was good, food came out fast. For having a large crowd, we... More

There were three of us and we all shared tapas. It was average fare. Nice atmosphere outside but probably wouldn't return. The fresh bread was good though!

We went without reservations with a rowdy group of 6 and were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. Nice selection of tapas, pastas and entres. Lots of vegie and vegan selections. Extensive Spanish wine list, bit on the expensive side.

Although food is decent the service is beyond terrible. It took 45 minutes to get the first course. Dinner took two hours. I had to go to the owner to get another waiter to come take the order. This female waiter has just such a terrible and nasty attitude as does the owner. It is the absolute opposite of normal.... More
