Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Have eaten here many times. The food is always excellent and the owner usually makes the rounds and checks in to see how the food is for each table. I’ve never had a bad meal here! Food takes a while to come out but that...is because it is individually prepared. Go often here as a couple and with my grandkids and they just love the food! I hear the owner is opening another new restaurant in Whittier. Can’t wait!!!!!More

From their jalapeno watermelon Margaritas to their must have bacon wrapped shrimp, this place is one of my faves!! I try to name it ay least once a month! Don't forget taco Tuesdays and to try a side if their roasted chilli/lime corn. Yummy!!

This place is amazing! Staff are the best. Closed Mondays. I’ve visited for Taco Tuesday - tacos are $2.99 about half their normal price. My favorites are: - Camaron (shrimp) - Asada (beef steak) - Chorizo (spicy sausage) - Taco dorado (potato, fried taco) -...hot pepper & cheese Tortillas seem hand-made. Side order the Frijolitos (black beans topped with queso fresco cheese), arroz verde (white rice mixed with parsley) or guacamole. Price ranges from $5 to $8 each. Aguas frescas melon (cantaloupe), pineapple or sandia (watermelon) are amazing! Complimentary chips and salsa are addictive. On other days, I’ve tried the pato taco (for about $10) which is pulled duck meat - a bit fatty as is duck — tastes fresh and delicious. Separately, the fried banana are are wholesome but left me still hungry. They accept cash or major credit cards. Enjoy!More

Came here with some church friends for a pre-holiday dinner. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. We were able to score a large table in the back, which you can request in advance. The place is known for its fideo, but there are a number...of other menu options, all of which are reasonably priced and delicious.More

First, get the Pato Taco. It’s the best thing we ordered , and everything we ordered was delicious. Second, order something from the bar. The mango margarita on the rocks with salt was exactly what the doctor ordered. And the virgin red sangrias were just...right, the kids inhaled them. The service is top notch too. Can’t go wrong here!More

Tuesday’s they have specials for tacos and drinks , we like going on the weekend. The menu is short and concise. Traditional Mexican flavors melded with savory California cuisine. Every taste a delight and the sauces are excellent. The treat is the quesadilla that is...closer to a fried empanada mixed with 3 cheeses and nothing else compares . A local favorite and I highly recommendMore

I really liked this place. I used to live in the area decades ago and when visiting, a friend of mine took me to Bizarra Capital. It was fantastic food, great service and good margaritas. As others have mentioned, this is not your usual Mexican...restaurant. Although I really enjoy mainstream Mexican food, Bizarra Capital stands above that food category. I ordered "Camarrones al mojo de aho". Simply fantastic. Make sure to order the home made corn tortillas to go along with it. I will be back. Highly-recommended.More

This can be a casual shorts, family type of a place, or dress up in Sunday clothes. Our service was good and we really enjoyed experiencing some traditional Mexican food with a twist. The guacamole is delicious. The tacos, so yummy, and the bacon wrapped...shrimp was delicious. Be prepared to be a little adventurous, as they highlight different styles, but it is fun to try new things.More

If you are looking for your typical Mexican restaurant, then this is not for you. But if you're looking for delicious food with a Mexican flair, then you have to try this place. Absolutely the best salsa I have ever tasted. They have a list of...tacos that you will not find anywhere else. You have to try the " beans and rice ". The guacamole is also excellent. Try it with a nice margarita or mojito. I can't wait to go back. The service is a little slow, but well worth the wait.More
