Go for the food, not the ambiance. This joint needs a makeover. The chairs were old and worn. The lighting looked as if it had been bought, at a discount, from a bankrupt disco. There were fake, somewhat dusty plants everywhere and the list goes on. The only reason I ventured inside was the multitude of Yelp review stickers on... More

I had a hunkering for some Hot an Sour soup and visited Fey for lunch as their soup of the day was what I was craving for. The lunch includes soup and a entree with rice or fried rice or noodles. My friend ordered the Kung Pao Chicken with Noodles and I the Hunan Chicken with steamed rice . The... More

We ate at Fey's while staying at the Residence Inn right around the corner. We got chicken sichuan and fried rice, which was delicious, and the meal came with a free pot of hot tea and a free dish of fried Chinese noodles. There was a LOT of food. My husband and I shared the chicken and rice, and we... More

We ordered a Tofu Fish and pointed at the picture on the menu and he brought a fish without Tofu and never apologized. we ordered two ice water, he brought one glass ice water and another waiter brought a dirty glass on the table and left. When we were nobody came to table and we had to ask for boxes.

The restaurant was across the street from Menlo Park Inn and went over for dinner. The service was a little slow but the food was good, generous portions and served quickly. Unfortunately we use a corporate american express at my company and I did not know they do not accept Amex until after dinnre. I prefer using my corporate card... More

My friends went to the Fey Restaurant a couple of days ago for dinner. We ordered Sichuen cold chicken noodle and was very pleased. The cold noodle taste like it came out of my mother's kitchen.... I will call it authentic Sichuen food. We also ordered a spicy Tofu dish where the tofu pieces were crisp on the outside and... More

It seems that Chinese restaurants everywhere bring a bit China to you, but Fey Restaurant does this better than anyplace I have gone to. When traveling 2 weeks in China, we were segregated into the last room as an honor, but it was just lonely. The Fey has a million things on the menu. Go outside your comfort zone and... More

Large portions--lots of choices. we enjoy eating in or takeout. Got take out here for a great picnic. Everything quite good, and very large portions, which is great for leftovers.

There are a lot of prosperous Chinese folk hereabouts so the competition for good Chinese food is high and this place does very well. When we were there we were the only non-Asians in the place (always a good sign). Be warned, while freshly prepared, most dishes are very spicy.

I went there with a group of friends and ordered a full table of items. Over all, the quality and quantity were decent. The crab dish was delicious, so was the chicken. The price is reasonable. Parking in its parking lot was available when we got there at about 6:30. Very good service. I'd return again.

Description
Fey Restaurant is the heart and gem of it's owners, James and Han Ying. Fey, an acronym of it's well known Chinese name Fu En Yuan, has existed for more than 20 years in the Bay Area. Their reputation for purely authentic and taste bud popping Sichuan and Northern Chinese food is impeccable and a definite must try. Come in for your favorite luncheon special or even have a party in our beautiful and elegant VIP room (advanced bookings please!). We will also be bringing you a new specialty, Chinese Hotpot (Fey style of course!). Instead of sharing a large boiling pot with people around you, you will have the luxury of your own. Come on in and experience Chinese food with style. You won't regret it.
