Bar and food service presented as indifferent. Not a very large place and bar area is very small. Cocktails are overpriced as well as appetizers. Overall pretty average.

This place is a top ten restaurant. These ratings are ridiculous. I may go as far as to say it is a top five in visalia. The appetizers, salads and entrees are all good. Give it a try for yourself and experience something special. I recommend the deviled eggs and the filet mignon.

It was nice to try a new restaurant while in Visalia. We started with drinks. The strawberry martinis was made with strawberry infused vodka. It was okay. The best part was the sugar rimmed glass which added much needed flavor to the martini. Sad to say it had a ½ strawberry as a garnish that was very old and unruly.... More

Right across the street from The Depot restaurant, and owned by the same people, this hidden gem is located inside the old jailhouse. The food is prepared with the same thought and care as the Depot. Don't miss it!

The food is always great, selections on the menu create a enjoying evening. There service has fallen below there standards. Only 5 tables the night we dined, but had to remind staff we were there. The web page and the menu pricing are completely different so an update there is in order. Choosing a wine I know or have heard... More

The red phone booth outside the restaurant continues to amaze me, this despite the countless number of times I have eaten here - adds a nice and unique touch to the place. I find this place "hip" not only because of the overall ambience but because of the food offerings as well. The menu is far from the "ordinary" -... More

We went here for Mother's Day. I don't just give away 5 star reviews, this place really deserves it! Wonderful start to a great day. Our server, Jarod, was the epitome of personalized service! Every dish, from the appetizers to the dessert was excellent.

The food is wonderful, of course anything made by the Vartanians always is great. Have been here three or four times only and the service is not good. Always have to wait for anyone to ask for drink orders.

First time here at Jack and Charlie's. Food was good service was great. It is in the old jail down town Visalia. Thought it was a little dark and I'm Claustrophobic so I wasn't sure how I would do it was not bad.
