Literally the only place for miles, and unfortunately the staff seem to know it. This results in inconsistent attention. We came in Saturday night for an early dinner. Realizing everyone came in and was sat at once, we expected a wait. Especially after our last visit. Our server came quickly and soon drinks, appetizer, and dinner followed. We waited for... More

We have been dining at the Black Point Grill for almost 30 years. The food prep and service has always been inconsistent. This last visit was a disappointment. I ordered the cobb salad with crab cakes. The two crab cakes were bite-size. The shrimp tasted watery. However, they do make good sweet potato fries. The service was lousy but that... More

I had the fish and chips for lunch. The fish was fresh Pacific Rock Cod, tender and flaky with a nice caper tarter sauce. The cole slaw was fresh and made there as well. Nice. For dinner I had their Grilled Black Angus New York steak with chive mashed potatoes, rainbow carrots, Point Reyes Blue Cheese, and demi glaze. The... More

Very friendly restaurant at the Sea Lodge Hotel. Well stocked bar and some nice wine options. Food was a very average and a touch bland. However the clam chowder was very good. A meal all by itself. Great service and never rushed. Pleasant atmosphere.

We ate both breakfast and dinner while staying at the lodge. Service in the dinning room was very good. The food was pretty average but the view of the ocean made up for it. I get the feeling they cater mostly to the guests of the lodge and not so much the locals.

We had been looking forward to eating here as all the reviews had been great. We were seated and our server never came to our table. Once we found her, she knew nothing of what they had to offer in the way of Scotch or Vodka at the bar. My husband had to go to the bar to pick what... More

They have done an amazing job gutting and remodeling this hotel. They have been open a short time. The staff is amazing and everyone we ran into was engaging, cheerful and helpful. We ate lunch and had the Sonoma lamb sandwich on fococcia bread with a salad. The lamb sandwich was great $18 but the salad that came with it... More

Bad service and Disgusting food. Avoid. When asked if the fish was fried I got no response yet it was overly fired and gross. We ordered a Ceaser salad and the waitress said "oh you want that too?" Only good thin is the view.eat something somewhere else and walk outside of the Restaraunt.

The food is good but not special, a bit pricey for what it offers, especially at breakfast but you don't go there for the food, you go for the views, and what a view it is ... directly on the rough rocky Pacific coast
