Many restaurants in Temecula have mainly light food options for the millenial crowd while this place has a full menue with many options. The wine list offers many local wines as would be appropriate in this wine country. Reservations on weekends a must. Completely enjoyed my dinner with family.

We came here on a Friday night. The place was busy but had a great little bar area to hang out in. The hostess that night was just not in a very good mood. While we waited to put our names down we watched her be mean to everybody in front of us. No eye contact, snappy and rude and... More

We went to this restaurant as a recommendation from the winery called Cougar. I had the bone marrow and my husband had the bacon jalepeno cheese poppers. They were yummy! For dinner my husband had the new yorker teach which was cooked perfectly (medium rare). I seldom would hear him comment on his steak this way. I had the ribs... More

Five of us went to this restaurant on a Friday evening for dinner. Limited valet parking is available for an $8 fee; otherwise parking is available on the streets and in a few lots. The interior is Victorian Old West and the noise level is moderate. The male servers were pleasant and and willingly answered questions regarding the menu. The... More

We stopped in for dinner and drinks around Happy Hour. No tables available in the bar so we sat at the bar. We ordered a couple of appetizers and drinks. And then a little while later we ordered full menu items. We didn't mind sitting at the bar except the service was slow - we had to get the attention... More

It was by chance that we ate at the Gambling Cowboy but we were pleased with our lunch. A local western author was set up in an area before we went into the restaurant on the second floor. That was a nice touch for the restaurant to support locals. The decor was first class western--even the tablecloths had fringe; and... More

First restaurant we dined at in Old Town and we are happy to say our steaks were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The décor is fun and the booths/tables are comfortable. The bar area features a relaxed atmosphere with a good happy hour menu. Gambling Cowboy is our GO TO for primo steak!

A great place to take out of towners. Very good food, good people, great atmosphere. Big menu with meat as a a highlight. Two bars to choose from with small plates to order with drinks. Have a reservations and try to arrive by taxi or have a driver. Parking isn't easy.

Very eclectic atmosphere with excellent variety of entrees and exquisitely prepared meals. Service is top shelf. These qualities come with a price - entrees from $25 to $50 but if one is looking for a special place for a special occasion, the Gambling Cowboy will not disappoint. One can bring their own bottle(s) of wine and there is no "open... More
