Home town type diner with more kick! Menu is easy to read and you want to order everything! Even though they are a franchise they cater to you like you wre family! You can order breakfast anytime of the day.

Were tired after arriving late to BW hotel across the street and went here for dinner. Service was prompt and food came out quickly. I had a reuben which was excellent. My wife was happy with her food. Overall a good experience.

Food is true comfort food. Huge portions, traditional and tasty. I had biscuits and gravy, eggs and bacon - I couldn't even eat half of it, but I sure wanted to. My husband had an omelet and some of the best potatoes I've ever eaten. Easy walk from downtown Sonoma.

Went here for a quick breakfast before leaving town. We had their "harvest grain pancakes"....and they were very good. The service is always great at the Black Bear. Will definitely go back!

It is cost effective, but the food is not that great. I ordered a breakfast that had chicken in it and I think they forgot to put my order in and I was told 3 different reasons as to why my husband's food came and mine took so long. They took my order off the ticket, which was very nice.... More

Good value food with excellent service. A reliable option that did not disappoint. Had the salon and my wife had the trout - both good.

Stopped for Sunday brunch. This was first time at a Black Bear Diner. Server was friendly as we're all. Many food options in several price ranges. Everything was tasty. For the area, prices were ok

One of the very few "brand" restaurants in Sonoma. Its cheap and cheerful and the staff were just wonderful. Shrimp dish was tasty. An up market "Dennys"!

This place was recommended by our hotel staff. My husband and I went during the lunch hour and both ordered the cheeseburger basket with strawberry shakes. The food was average. Our server was very pleasant, although, we felt as though we were being rushed. The other servers were not very cordial at all. We felt like they were just tolerating... More

Stopped in one rainy morn for breakfast. Glad I did! Great diner atmosphere and reasonable prices. Had the waffle breakfast which was so rich and thick was almost pancake like. Wonderful staff, very attentive. They even had Dr Pepoer. Win win.
