If you want to have something simple but good, this is a great place to go. Simple, fast, street parking, and good.

If you want some great tapas, this is your place. On the weekends they often have entertainment. That made us stay longer, and try some tapas to go with the next set of music. Glad we did. We began with traditional Italian fare. But the extra time made us go for some small plates, which were excellent, and varied.

A family owner Argentinian restaurant with excellent food and personal service. Their wines are as rico as their food. Our party highly recommends this cozy place for pizzas, Paella, and other favorites.

Not! a neighborhood gem. Cant make up its mind whether its Italian or Argentinian. No matter which nationality they side with its just plain bad. Sangria like Kool Aid. Thick, heavy, doughy empanadas filled (sparingly) with minced mystery meat. Over dressed salad with bottled cafeteria dressing. Uninspired pizza. Never going back.

We lucked upon this restaurant on Wednesday night, which is their $5 seafood tapas night. We shared grilled shrimp, ceviche and calamari and each has a salad. We thought the food was very good, and the service was friendly.

I was at Santino's the other night and boy was I lucky. First off the chef made me a paella that was one of the best I ever had loaded with fresh seafood that was juicy and tender not overcooked. Secondly I got to listen to Carlinos Pandeiro De Ouro one of the best Brazilian Drum players of all time... More

This is not a big restaurant, with part of it a sports bar, but it is capable of having a party, It is right around the border of Venice and Santa Monica. We have been here twice, once back in 11/2011 and have been very impressed with the food as well as the friendly great service, and decent prices both... More

Although there is no sign posted regarding this policy, or any written information on their menu, Santinos charges extra for take out orders. Yup, that's right, if you want to order your food to go (rather than eat in) you have to pay $3 extra. I encountered this policy when I tried to order their sandwich combo to go. The... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
