This place has list of greatest not to be missed including the Maryland Crab Cake (with no breading), The fire grilled romaine lettuce, the white corn and truffle ravioli, the dover sole and the spectacular veal scallopini. A gem.
Some things you just need to do. The atmosphere is really interesting with eclectic pieces of art from the owner's private collection. The service is phenomenal; a perfect balance between warm friendliness and expert professionalism. My selections were excellent, from the bread, to the bona fide burrata, to the main. The lasagna was amazing, with perfect homemade pasta. My wife... More

The prices were high, especially considering the portions. For example, the $68 branzino tasted good, but was the size... More
Is it expensive yes. But you get what you pay for. We come here about 2-3 times a year for special occasions. We have never had a bad meal. The service is impeccable and the wine list is expansive (italian focused). Must eats: their homemade pastas. And the steak. And leave room for dessert!
We were in Santa Monica and looked up good Italian restaurants and found Capo. We arrived after a full day tour and found that you needed a reservation, and that the restaurant didn't open for another 15 minutes at 6PM. We called inside - the host was very gracious and advised we could have dinner at the bar as they... More
From the outside you would never be able to expect Capo is one of the best restaurants in the LA area. But once inside a feast for the sense start. There is a small bar on the right side of this living room sizes restaurant. The small scale keeps things intimate, there is a wood burned oven in the corner... More
