My husband was taken here in April and thought is was so great he brought me here when I came with him this trip for work. I was so impressed with the quality of the food and the wine! The service was great as well. My water or wine were never empty and we never had a need that wasn't... More

My husband and I have eaten here numerous times. It is always good-tasting hearty food and plentiful with an Italian accent. The tables are not crowded together so it is not too noisy and the room has a nice atmosphere. They even have a small room in front which can accommodate about 10 people for a special event. We have... More

This was one of my husband's favorite places to go when he wanted something different. He said the minestrone soup was the best along with the bread and steak were very good.

It closed down & it's been Seasons 52 for a few years. Why is this on the site? Il Fornai is great - visit another location!

The food is never overcooked, and always fresh. The service is prompt and friendly. My experience is that the Beverly Hills restaurant is less noisy than the others, so if you, like me, like quiet, go there.

average quality of the food unfortunately i expected so much more especially after reading reviews on this place! Pizza is not so good and far from being a real italian pizza. Place is nice and clean but not the best option in Santa Monica.

We asked to sit outside and the waiter took us to our table. They had not set the table, we had to ask the waiter for water, napkins and knife and forks. We then asked for bread and olive oil. We ordered a bottle of wine - the waiter poured the wine but did not notice that the wine glass... More

Step inside Il Fornaio and take a culinary journey through Italy. Early mornings bring rustic, crisp crusted bread hot from the oven accompanied by the scent of fresh brewed espresso. During lunch and dinner hours, pastas and flavorful sauces simmer while meats and vegetables roast over hot coals. Bottles of wine from small, regional wineries are uncorked to complement the dishes, which have been crafted in the custom of Italy's chefs, bakers and homemakers.
Specialties include wood-fired rotisserie and grilled meats, poultry and game; housemade pastas; pizzas from an oak wood burning oven; fresh salads and housemade soups; a wide variety of desserts; and fresh baked bread made daily from scratch. Winner of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence 2007.
