It was my wife's birthday and I was trying to find a family restaurant about mid-point between our home and her brother's home. This is on Pico not far from the 405. The restaurant is small and our group of 6 barely fit and the...More

This place is an authentic Mexican restaurant, clean and comfortable. The waitstaff and the owner are friendly and warm as well as accommodating. This is our second time at this restaurant and the food is consistent. The meal begins with a generous portion of chips...More

Love Gilbert's! 19 years and counting I've been calming here and never found a better cheese enchilada, rice and beans! Great staff, delicious carrots, and wonderful chips and salsa. See ya soon!

Gilbert's is great! It's a very very solid choice for Mexican food in Los Angeles. Is it the best? Several people think so. I'm not so sure, but it certainly does have a vibe. The dishes are tasty and the margaritas are delicious.

Love the Fernando's Burrito here, which is basically a cheese chile relleno stuffed inside a burrito. I used to come here regularly after playing long volleyball games on the beaches of Santa Monica. It's a great place to hang with friends over beer or margaritas...More

Well known by locals and dearly loved. This is the place that I return to year after year. The best Margaritas and Fernando's Burrito (yum!). You just can't go wrong with Albondigas or a tostada. Got to ask for the Diablo and other wonderful house...More

This is a good place to go for basic old school Mexican food. Things like burritos, enchiladas, combo plates and huge burritos. Prices are very reasonable for a West-side restaurant and the service is good. However, the margaritas are not that good. Better to stick...More

The parking is on the west side of the building, maybe 10 spaces. The entrance is not on the street front but in the back. It is next door to the east of a car wash, the one used in the 70s movie Car Wash.

Yes, there is parking off the street and they have wrapped the trees with twinkle lights in the parking lot which is beautiful and provides safety. The last time we were there, a Girl Scout was even selling GS cookies in the... More
