Restaurant possibly prioritizes presentation over taste. Smallish serves. Fusion approach. Full crowds, so people do love this restaurant. Quite trendy. So it may be just me seeking an authentic Mexican dinner that night.

Had chips and guac, tacos for 3 and featured cocktail. Food, service and atmosphere were great, drinks were kind of basic but nice enough.
Go for the Margaritas and the Guacamole but stay for the fresh catch (seasonal fish tacos, win, win, win). The Margarita menu is sure to please any tequila aficionado. Make a reservation. This place gets busy!
If only the management were as good as the food. No apologies for keeping family waiting 30 minutes after reservation time. Didn't buy us a drink or a bowl of guac. Instead, management came over and balled us out for letting teenagers taste margaritas. Good...More
After reading the reviews I thought this place would be awesome. It was very busy. We were on a shared table. Food was OK. I actually thought it was a bit bland which is funny given that other reviewers thought it was spicy.
I go to Mercado every time I’m in LA. I’ve even left the airport and taken an Uber to get my fix on long layovers. Everything is divine.... but carnitas tacos and chips/guac has to be my favorite meal maybe on the planet. Try to...More
Went there on a friend’s recommendation. Mercado has many Mexican choices, many with ingredients I never heard of (yxta sauce?). I chose a Chile relleno. It was tasty, but I didn’t study the description carefully, and it was strictly vegetarian. I was looking forward to...More
Loved our dinner here! Food was amazing and service was friendly and quick but didn’t feel rushed out. So good to have Mexican food that isn’t all rice and beans. Everything was so fresh with lots of great flavours.
Funky restaurant with good Mexican food and good Mexican beer and teqila menu. Service was very good too.
Nice upscale mexican restaurant. Food was delicious. I was hoping to get some typical dishes (burritos, quesadillas) but they do not have any. Entrees are in the $20-$25 range. Was very busy when we went there. Good service.
