Love visiting Laili for a mid-day outing with friends and the perfect spot is in their court yard. They have great salads, a good chai, and the best chicken wrap in the city.

My husband dined at Laili when we vacationed in Santa Cruz. An internet search piqued my curiosity, and we were well rewarded for our choice! We asked for and were seated on the romantic patio, and as soon as we tasted their cilantro Caesar salad,...More

This is the best restaurant in Santa Cruz. Eating on the terrace transports me to a garden villa and the food matches this sublime experience. A SC treasure.

Even if you're vegan, you can find something yummy to eat at Laili's. I've been there twice and each time came away very satisfied with the place and the fare. I recommend those wraps. They're super abundant and delicious.

We booked ahead and asked to be seated on the terrace, which I'm really pleased about as it was lovely. The trees were lit with fairy lights, there were gas barbecue style upright heaters to ward off the chill and plenty of space between tables...More

I am perplexed. Mixing cuisines is fine, but perhaps one should not mix just for sake of mixing. I am not sure if this is (or wants to be) a Mediterranean restaurant with Eastern influences, or the other way around. Great cuisine should be a...More

I can fully understand its #1 rating as it is brilliant value, a small but varied menu, and great service. We went on a Wednesday evening and they were turning people away, so it was lucky that we booked. Recommended.

We had lunch at Laili outside on their beautiful patio. They bring out naan (bread) fresh from the oven served with an oil/parsley sauce. The bread is great--the sauce not much flavor. Ask for the green jalapeño sauce they serve with the food. That would...More

Great atmosphere but the food is boring. Not enough choices and they never vary the menu. Good middle eastern fare but I recommend only going once or twice otherwise you end up always ordering the same thing.

I do not know for sure, but I doubt they would as you have to enter patio by going through the restaurant. Also it reeks upscale. I sometimes feel as if I have not dressed up enough, even in casual, sub casual santa cruz... More
