I've had lots of Enchiladas over the years but the order I got here was nothing like I had ever had before and that was not a good thing. These folks need to stick to traditional flavors I believe!

Because it was within walking distance of our motel we gave this place a try - nasty. spider webs all over, table sticky, nice view, and the food was terrible. IMO it's set up for out of state tourists. My beans were cold but the cheese on top was melted - rice was dry, dry, dry. do not recommend

We enjoyed the food, the service was great and the setting was very casual and relaxed. The churro's for dessert just completed a lovely meal.

Our most recent visit for lunch March 10. reminded me that the menu has not changed in 27 years...the quality is fair st best. I steer friends that know how to make good Mexican food at home to skip El Chorlito, they would be bummed out. We eat at El Chorlito every visit because we stay at Cavalier hotel and... More

We ordered bean and carnitas burritos which were fine but nothing special. The chips were not very good. Overall the food was ok, but a bit overpriced. The view from the dining room is great though, but we got our food to go.

We stayed at San Simeon for one night last December and there aren't many places to eat so we chose Mexican. I had fajitas and I liked them, but my wife's food was not very good. She could not eat it. We are Hispanics, we are used to eating Mexican food and the rice they served us we could tell... More

Very nice restaurant, decorated of course with Mexican style. Very romantic. Food is good. Service was very kind. This is one of the least pricy restaurants in this town, which it's proximity to Hearst castle makes it quite expensive. Recommend (!)

Excellent food; we had spinach quesadillas for starters then beef fajitas - way too much food. Local wine matched nicely. Good atmosphere, great service

I had the fajitas and they were very good! Nice atmosphere! It felt comfortable and it was crowded, so that tells you they had a good food!!!! Good service, too!!! It was so close to the hotel off Highway 1! Great location!

As far as Mexican food goes this is the only game in town. The food is very good. The guacamole is a bit watered down but tasty, The house chardonnay sucks so opt for the cheaper Sangria which is good. Nice staff. I have eaten here twice. It is not awesome, per se, but the food is fine. I had... More
