This was my first time having Ramen, but I was thoroughly impressed with everything. The meat was exceptional, the broth was perfect and just the right amount of spiciness. The noodles were tender and delicious. I highly recommend adding corn to your Ramen. Overall a very enjoyable experience. Would definitely go back…

Came here for early dinner with family and there was surprisingly no wait on a Friday night. We tried two different ramens and they were both good and simple but both very salty. My daughter was guzzling water and I felt parched halfway through. I think the ramen was ok, there are other places in San Mateo that I would... More

Personally can't get enough of this; i even order extra noodles. Service is fast; get there early or as soon as they open otherwise expect a long wait.

I admit to not being a ramen professional, but I've had enough to know what to look for and what tastes good. Had been visiting Ryowa in Mountain View (on Villa) for years due to proximity to office, but had some time off and was keen to find something different. Tried Santa Ramen due to good reviews -- they were... More

There is a menu board at the entrance which lets customers know what is available.......however, if you get there late or during a very popular time, you may see a board that says that only the Classic Ramen bowls are available. This is not a bad thing, because all of their ramen is delicious. My family's favorites are the cheek... More

Good Santa Ramen, Manager is very nice and the place is perfect for a late lunch because you can watch tv and relax but be careful if the manager tells you it is ok to bring your doggie in and he is his relatives or mother comes in because you will get attitude. I was the only one in there... More

I have had ramen in shinjuku Japan and many corners in Tokyo, and the beauty about Ramen is every ramen house offers there own flavors and spin on our beloved soup and noodles dish. Overall, I may have had better ramens elsewhere but this place can still fulfill a ramen fix. Unique pork flavors coupled with warnings from the waitress... More

Arrived on a Friday close to 1 pm. Was seated pretty much immediately. It was great that there was a large chalkboard displaying the ramen choices available. We were shown to our table and provided menus. The same lady came back shortly to take orders. They seem to highlight the level of spiciness of their broth and actively request customers... More

Santa Ramen was my Plan B option after we saw the long line outside of its sister restaurant, Ramen Dojo. Luckily, we didn't have to wait at Santa Ramen and was immediately seated. We started with the karaage and it was one of the best karaage I've had in the Bay Area. It was very juicy and tender. As for... More

Good Japanese Ramen. With lines starting 11:15am for an opening of 11:30am, you can be sure that this is good ramen worth waiting. Other than ramen, there are not too many other items, so you really have to come for the ramen and not expecting too many other dishes. Of course, you start with 3 soup types (and level of... More
