The Ceviche is so fresh, and the sauces are excellent. We had three different ceviche, all great. The lamb was outstanding. Service warm and attentive. Deserts lived up to their descriptions. Yum!

We found Mancora on yelp. Funny enough, its 10 blocks from the house. We were warmly greeted and thanked for coming. The appetizer, roasted corn & green salsa was terrific. And the meal got better from there. We had several different cheviche and they were all great, with lots of interesting add ons around the central cheviche. The beef heart... More

We moved to San Mateo 2 months and have eaten at Mancora 3 times. Our fave dishes are the Pescado a la macho and the salmon. The Pescado is fish topped with seafood and a wonderful creamy, spicy sauce. The salmon sits atop a bed of sauteed spinach and chunks of potatoes. The spinach is well prepared, fresh and cooked... We got to this restaurant at 8:30PM on Sept 5th after having walked around San Francisco all day. They were supposed to close at 9:00 PM but they kindly seated us anyway. There were two large family groups in this relatively small restaurant and they were basically done eating. We got chancha (giant roasted corn kernels with salsa-like dipping sauce)... More

Although I did not like the restaurant interior for the first view, I was really satisfied in the end. We've visited the restaurant for dinner, manager introduced their menu to us and then I've ordered salmon on spinach. Few moments later he come to apologize that they don't have salmon and recommend me some seafood with rice as a side... More

Glad we went even if we only tried 2 of their offerings. Even though they were doing some road work southbound... More

Four of us had dinner there on Friday evening. We did not have a reservation but did not have to wait for a table. We ordered the Pescado Cebiche as an appetizer. It was quite good. We ordered parihuela (soup), pescado a lo macho (very good), salmon en salsa de maracuya (very good but a bit sweet), and cau cau... More

I waited over 1 hour for an appetizer. Going in solo will get you ignored. I watched people who came in after me get their entre and I was still waiting.

We have dined in this restaurant three times during last 10 day, and whatever we ordered wa really good. Hard even to single out one dish, as between three of us we pretty much sampled the whole menu. The service was also friendly and nice.
