I'd like to go this place for its quality of food. I selected Fajias. The restaurant (decor), space and asmosphere are quite casual but I do not expect much for casual lunch and quick meal. The price is a bit high.

Really didn't expect to write this review at all. It's strange that this restaurant is rated high at all....the food is bland (weird for a Mexican restaurant) including the salsa. The service was beyond slow, and they messed up so many of the orders at the table (12 of us), I mean wow! The margaritas are really just sweet and... More

This might be the best restaurant in San Mateo: consistently great food, friendly service, and fun atmosphere. Highly recommended!

A full menu featuring a lot of genuine Mexican dishes, and in particular a range of seafood dishes. Food portions are ample, service is very good, ambience is decent. A good place for neighborhood food, groups, etc.

It's a family restaurant and great Mexican food. You can taste the freshness. Just taste the guacamole... Most people are heavy on the salt for flavor, they didn't, it was fresh and just smooth. Great stuff. And they have lots of things I haven't seen in other Mexican restaurants. Molcajete in a traditional stone serving bowl. Some might think gimmicky... More

This restaurant offers a decent ambience and mind blowing Mexican food. Their enchiladas and chile relleno leave an after taste that makes it unforgettable. Love this place!

It was by far the best Mexican I've had this year. Service was great, the place was bright, clean and welcoming. The food was fantastic.

Arriving to San Mateo after a long journey I need to have a quick diner. The Staff is friendly - The food is typical Mexican but good quality. I was served promptly and efficient

We visited El Sinaloense on a busy Friday night. We loved everything about our experience- the atmosphere was fun, our service was personal, and the food was delicious, fresh, and plentiful. We will be regularly returning.

We all had different dishes, celupas , quesadillas, tapas and margheritas. All the selections were extremely well prepared, not greasy, and cooked to perfection. My wife and I had two regular margheritas and rest if the family, water. This is the second time we come here and it is always a great experience. The place is small and seating is... More
