The lettuce smells like last week's, and the bread is really limp and tasteless. Much better sandwiches elsewhere in SLO, not far away.

Assuming you are on Highway 101 you will have to make a slight detour to find this attractive and worthwhile stop. There are soups and salads as well as sandwiches. Beer, too. I had a nice, large egg-salad sandwich, with a 409. What can I say? It was served quickly and wth no fuss at all. I recommend this place.

Dropped in for a quick bite before tasting wine. The sandwiches are HUGE and delicious. The staff is helpful and pleasant. I will defiantly return to try the hot Italian.

Our car broke down and the service place recommended Ben Franklin's while we waited. The staff was super friendly and provided a bowl of water for our dog. The sandwiches were delicious and inexpensive. House blend coffee was good too. Glad we were pointed here. Thanks.

I eat here at least twice per week. This is another classic SLO sandwich joint that has its own character of sub sandwich. I recommend the Letter B on French with the works. Ask to have it cut in half as that is not the standard procedure.

Driving through SLO looking for Jersey Mike's sandwich shop on Yelp. Only Jersey Mike's was behind us in Arroyo Grande. Ben Franklin's was listed with a great review. So like why not give it a try? Our sandwiches were great. Definitely will let friends in on a great sandwich spot in SLO!

Fresh bread and toppings. Above average meats and cheeses. Friendly attentive service. Not a kosher NY deli, but for a sandwich shop it won't disappoint.

I've been going here for years. My wife usually gets the extreme Ortega (hot version of the Ortega with Chipotle mayo) and usually get the combo B. They are consistent and they are usually busy. The service is nice to us because we are familiar and we aren't in a hurry.

No comparison to Subway. The subs are huge and packed to the brink. Try the Ben's Italiano This place has been a local's favorite since the 1960's
