This is another non-Chinese food restaurant. Not much that native Chinese would consider food. The salt and pepper shrimp, which can be remarkably good, spicy, crunchy (because they are whole shrimp), were frozen, not fresh. I asked. The hot and sour soup was quite possibly the least tasty I have ever tasted. Tofu with green beans was inedible. Giant hunks... More

We have eaten at Daimo for several years & for my money, it is has the best Chinese food in the San Leandro area. The food is excellent. Soups are tasty & some of our favorite dishes include Salt & Pepper Pork Chops, Sesame Chicken & Honey Walnut Prawns. The serving sizes are very good. The service can be a... More

This is the restaurant that uses pictures of its dishes as decoration...specials are queen in Chinese on paper and trapped to the wall....so, not fancy. But the food is excellent, and I HIGHLY recommend the Salt And Pepper Fish. It is difficult to describe the magnificence of this dish.....lightly breaded to the point where you barely notice the coating except... More

This is my go-to spot when I have a taste for Chinese food. My favorites here are: Tomato Beef over rice, General Tsao's Chicken, or Szechuan Chicken. All of them are well-prepared. I also see that this place is popular with the Chinese community. Another good sign, I think.

Daimo is often full but sometimes nothing but takeout orders. The variety is very good but the one thing they seem to be lacking is flavor. If you're into adventurous dishes black fungus and bean curd served cold is fun as is the hot and sour soup. Very traditional fare with fresh fish available served a variety of ways. But... More

This restaurant has the best tasting Hong Kong style wonton noodle in the Bay Area! Beside the wonton, other dishes are very tasty with considerably good size portion. You won't regret coming to there.

Kung pao chicken, twice cooked braised pork belly w preserved greens, salt n pepper spareribs, salt n pepper fish, beef n green beans, MaPO tofu, west lake soup, pork n crispy noodles. Eight of us returning from the foothills and driving back on 580 hwy. we usually go to the Daimo in Richmond... More

The lemon chicken is very tasty and has a generous amount of sauce. The chicken fried rice is tender and delicious. The place is clean with a friendly and fast paced staff. A must try!

I have been going to Daimo for lunch for years with work Colleagues and we always order a lunch special dish each and share. Salt 'n Pepper Ribs, Calimari, Fish or indeed anything Salt 'N Pepper is always one choice along with Chicken Curry ( "Rice Juice") and their other Chicken or prawn dishes complete the meal. There is of... More

The food quality overshadows some of the other misgivings at Daimo. First of all, the expectation shouldn't be service at a Chinese restaurant....if you happen to get it, fine. The food is fresh and well prepared. Price may be a littler higher than most Chinese restaurants, but it's reflective in the quality of ingredients. Some can't miss items: Minced Beef... More
